[A delicious smell begins to waft out of the Distillery in the early afternoon. Anyone who investigates will find that Mireille has baked a rather large cake, topped with bright yellow frosting and blue flowers.

Also, whoever enters the Distillery will be asked a question.]

...you're going to have a hard time going anywhere with that lump on you. [wraps his arms around Tama-chan and picks her up, putting her over his shoulder. She grumbles a bit, tail lashing but quickly compensates and gets comfy, butting the side of her head against Kaoru's cheek]

Oh she can reclaim me later. It shouldn't take long.

[she even gives Tama a pet to reassure her that she's still there for attention giving.]

[Tama-chan flicks out her tongue in return and Kaoru chuckles]

...yes, I'm sure she will. She seems very fond of you - you and Seimei. [reaching out a hand to help Rin up] Sometimes it feels like I'm just her fancy transportation.

Aww, be nice. She loves you too, Mama-Kaoru.

[Rin takes the offered hand, getting to her feet and dusting off her skirt.]

[you may say that, Rin, but Tama-chan seems to be gearing up to make the big escape from Kaoru's shoulder to yours] She's already abandoning me, see? I can carry her around fine for now, and she's not grown that much since she hatched, but if she gets heavier - or bigger...


[reddening a little at the Mama comment] I... I'm not.

[Tama-chan starts rubbing the side of her horn against Rin's boot. Don't be mad, Auntie-Rin-chan!]

All right. Well, I've got a quite a lot of shards stored up. Guess even if it doesn't work it can't hurt.

[well, first he needs something to defend himself with. Just to set Seimei at ease. Better not picture it too literally though. He doesn't want a giant shield to come crashing down out of nowhere.]
