Day 330 [Open] butterfly in the sky, i can go twice as high...
Who: AZ and everyone
Open: Open
When: Day 330, evening
Where: Near the Monument
What: AZ has decided that it's story time in the Bastion.
Format: Action, though I can switch to prose if you want.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
[It's been a long few days. AZ doesn't quite know what to do other than help move things around and try to comfort people as best he can. He's seen too much death, too much sorrow, to really get emotional over it. … And maybe that's wrong, but he and Crona had never had a strong bond. He can't make bonds with everyone - the ones he has are enough to keep him exhausted as he tries to hold on to them.]
[But he's experienced, and experience does have some side benefits. Which is why, as the Bastion approaches evening tonight, AZ has set up a small area near the Monument, with pillows and blankets and some food from the kitchens. It's not elaborate, but it doesn't have to be.]
[And if you're not near the Monument? No need to worry. There are a few signs scattered around the Bastion, with a helpful picture of the Monument and an arrow on them. Hopefully one of the languages on it will be comprehensible, if the pictures aren't enough.]
[[ooc; It's story time with Papa AZ! Feel free to tag into this singly or in groups for legends about the Pokemon world! Questions are encouraged, and if your character has Pokemon or some other kind of pet, they're more than welcome to visit, too.]]

Komaru had noticed this too, apparently, because on the umpteenth time he'd been staring out the window the Furfrou gave him a nudge on the back as well as a bark, an the next thing he knew they were both out wandering the Bastion again, with Komaru pushing Naegi into whatever she found interesting - basically, encouraging him to play with her and at least help the both of them forget the depressing mood, which Naegi was appreciative of.
It's on the way back to their apartment that Naegi and Komaru notice the signs posted around the settlement - and eventually follow them to the Monument and AZ's little set up. The Furfrou barks loudly and is already getting into some of the offered snacks while Naegi looks around, slightly confused. ]
Ah... what's all this for...?

I thought that people might like hearing some stories from my world. I know a lot of legends and I've seen a lot of different things, so I have plenty of stories to tell.

[ While Komaru barks an appreciate welcome to Floette and gets lost in a conversation with it, Naegi settles in and makes himself comfortable, flopping down onto one of the pillows with a curious glance. ]
I'm curious about the legends that you speak of, too... though I wouldn't even know which one I wanted to hear first.
no subject
[Though he's fairly sure no one really wants to hear the last one right now...]

[ To say the absolute least. ]
As for any specific stories... surprise me! Since I wouldn't know what else to specify otherwise.

[He closes his eyes as he things, before opening them and nodding.]
All right.
... There once was an Amaura named Amelie. Amaura are like... large creatures with long necks and rounded bodies, a little bit like your Furfrou friend. They have frills on top of their heads that change colors.
In any case... Amelie lived in the snowy north, and had been there her whole life. One day, she met a Mareep named Melody. Melody was looking for her lost ball. It had bounced away into the snow and she couldn't find it. Someone must have picked it up!
Amelie, being the kind sort that she was, agreed to help Melody. The two looked all around. They asked everyone they could find. Emily the Espurr hadn't seen it. "Why are you looking for a ball when you could be eating berries?" They agreed that this was a good point, but Melody wanted to find her ball more, so they continued.
Samuel the Serperior didn't know where it was, either. "Ssssave your ssstrength," he told them. "It issss cold and you ssssshould be ssssleeping." But Melody couldn't sleep until she found her ball.
Zacharia the Zangoose didn't want to talk to them. "Your stupid ball isn't as important as my training!" He told them. "Go bother someone else!" Amelie and Melody continued on until they reached a clearing. They sat down and Melody started crying.
"I'll never find my ball!" She cried, until Amelie nudged her gently. "What does your ball even look like?" She asked her friend.
"Well, it's round, and white... and very cold. But it was right there!" Amelie got an idea, and she nudged snow into a pile and rolled it around and around until it was a ball, before bringing it over to Melody.
"Is this your ball?" She asked, and Melody gasped. "You found it!" She hugged her new friend, and the two of them made their way home, now that Melody had found her snowball.
The end.
[He grins a bit, remembering the pictures in the book. ... That was a cute one.]

. . . and then he ends up falling over in surprise when Komaru suddenly shows up next to him, barking in approval before she pounces on Naegi, barking again and moving forward before settling herself at AZ's feet. She wants to hear more of these stories now!
Naegi himself is in agreement, a small smile on his face as he asks him something... ]
. . . do you think that Amelie and Melody became great friends after that adventure? I wouldn't be surprised if they did...

But those signs around the Bastion sounded pretty interesting. She could read the signs in each of the three languages they were written in. But that wasn't really important. She sat down on one of the blankets, leaning against a pillow or two.
She doesn't speak, just waiting for AZ's little storytelling thing to start.]

So, as long as it's not sad, that'll do for me.

Well... that is kind of cute, at least. [She smiles a little.] It sounds like they mostly live in cold places, right?

During a break in the storytelling, Naegi wanders over next to Patchouli, giving her a tired smile and a cordial nod of greeting as he sits down next to her. ]
Hey. How're you holding up, Patchouli-san?
no subject
[She's trying to seem a little more stoic about things than she actually is. Look, even she's kind of distressed about this.]

[ You and him both. Naegi's a lot more affected than he lets on, though he's trying not to let it get to him. ]

What kind of story would you like to hear, you two?

[ To be fair though, one of the only legends N really ever kept talking about was the legend about Reshiram and Zekrom. Which ... both of them knew really well at this point. Zorua sits in her mama's lap now, her tail a-waggin' as she waits for grampa's story. ]

A long time ago in Johto, there were two towers in Ecruteak City, regarded as symbols of the friendship between people and Pokemon. Two legendary Pokemon lived there - Lugia and Ho-Oh. People climbed the towers to commune with them, as they were the guardians of the sea and skies, respectively. But one night, Ho-Oh's tower burned after being struck by lightning. That night, both Pokemon flew away - Lugia to the Whirl Islands, and Ho-Oh to parts unknown.
... Three Pokemon perished in the flames, and Ho-Oh must have felt some connection to them, because it flew back and revived them. It's said that they became embodiments of the events that happened to the tower - one for the lightning that struck it, one for the flames, and one for the sudden downpour that put it out. Both towers are still there, though Ho-Oh's was never rebuilt.
Ho-Oh and the three Pokemon - Entei, Raikou, and Suicune - now look for a pure-hearted trainer, because they won't let anyone else tame them.
... Though I've heard such a trainer appeared in the past few years... but I've never seen them. It's a bit strange... there's been more and more sightings of legendary Pokemon recently.

[ Having dealt with Legendary Pokemon herself, she definitely had an interest in Legendary Pokemon from other regions. She didn't think she could tame them, though. She was just interested. ]
I don't hear a lot of stories from Johto. It's kinda nice to hear of things from other Regions.
