Day 330 [Open] butterfly in the sky, i can go twice as high...
Who: AZ and everyone
Open: Open
When: Day 330, evening
Where: Near the Monument
What: AZ has decided that it's story time in the Bastion.
Format: Action, though I can switch to prose if you want.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
[It's been a long few days. AZ doesn't quite know what to do other than help move things around and try to comfort people as best he can. He's seen too much death, too much sorrow, to really get emotional over it. … And maybe that's wrong, but he and Crona had never had a strong bond. He can't make bonds with everyone - the ones he has are enough to keep him exhausted as he tries to hold on to them.]
[But he's experienced, and experience does have some side benefits. Which is why, as the Bastion approaches evening tonight, AZ has set up a small area near the Monument, with pillows and blankets and some food from the kitchens. It's not elaborate, but it doesn't have to be.]
[And if you're not near the Monument? No need to worry. There are a few signs scattered around the Bastion, with a helpful picture of the Monument and an arrow on them. Hopefully one of the languages on it will be comprehensible, if the pictures aren't enough.]
[[ooc; It's story time with Papa AZ! Feel free to tag into this singly or in groups for legends about the Pokemon world! Questions are encouraged, and if your character has Pokemon or some other kind of pet, they're more than welcome to visit, too.]]

[He reaches down to pet Komaru gently. What a good puppy.]

[ As Komaru yips loudly in approval, Naegi frowns in thought as he looks at the Furfrou... and then thinks of something as he looks at AZ once more. ]
Ah--! Do you know any stories with Furfrou in them? I think Komaru would like to hear such a story herself, right?
[ Asks Naegi as the Pokemon barks again in approval. Yes, good, that was exactly what she was thinking! ]

[Or. Well. They did, until... that event.]
I did once read a story of a pack of Furfrou... how did it go...
A man in Kalos once had over a hundred Furfrou. He had to expand his house in order to house them all, but they all were very special to him. One day, he met a woman named Malthea. She wanted to buy the puppies off of the man, but he told her 'no'. He'd heard about this woman - she wanted to make coats out of Furfrou pelts.
One night, he woke up to find that many of his Furfrou had been stolen. So he set out to find Malthea, and he chased her all throughout Kalos. From the outskirts of Luminose City where he lived all the way to Snowbell City, he followed her trail. Finally he found her on one of the routes, The rest of his pack cornered her so she wouldn't escape.
"I didn't take them," she explained. "They followed me." The other Furfrou sniffed out where the missing ones were, and brought them back from the cave they'd been hiding in.
"So why did you run?" "Because I knew you wouldn't believe me!" "Why did people say you wanted Furfrou pelts?" She just laughed, and reached out to pet some of the Furfrou.
"I didn't want pelts, I wanted pets!" The man looked at his Furfrou, and the 'missing' ones confirmed the story to the rest of their family. So the group traveled back to Luminose City, where the man invited Malthea to move into his home to help take care of the pack.
And they all lived happily ever after. The end.

Eventually, once he's done laughing and clapping at the story, he hugs the Furfrou and grins at AZ, nodding in approval. ]
Furfrou are really adorable and amazing, though...! I can't say that I blame Malthea for wanting them.
[ Said as Komaru nuzzles him in approval. ]

[ He still remembers seeing the Furfrou yip her way over to him whenever he stopped by the Pokemon Daycare. ]
. . . I don't think I've seen a Growlithe before, though. At least, I don't think Hilda-san mentioned having one when I saw her...

[He takes out some paper and a pencil and sketches a very rough picture of a Growlithe. ... It's not great, but it's passable.]
The main body is orange, with a lighter color on the belly and the fur on its head and tail. It has black stripes along its body. When it evolves, it gets big enough to ride.

[ Which, incidentally, those - the shisa - were the inspiration for Growlithe, but the mun digresses... ]
They were fiercely loyal to their masters and served as guardians of the people during the age of feudalism back home.

[ Not real ones, anyway. Damn those addictive Pokemon games. :|; ]

I can't say I can't relate; there's a few of us here in the Bastion that's never even heard of Japan, like yourself and Zuko-san...

. . . I don't know how we'll be able to right now, but hopefully so.

[ Before he can continue further, there's another loud bark from Komaru as she plops herself down in front of both Naegi and AZ, looking at them expectantly... ]
. . . ah, I think she wants to hear another story...
no subject
What sort of story do you want to hear now?
no subject
Hmmm... another happy story would be nice! Though I also want to ask about any funny stories, too.
