What: AZ has decided that it's story time in the Bastion.
Format: Action, though I can switch to prose if you want.
Warnings: None that I can think of.


[It's been a long few days. AZ doesn't quite know what to do other than help move things around and try to comfort people as best he can. He's seen too much death, too much sorrow, to really get emotional over it. … And maybe that's wrong, but he and Crona had never had a strong bond. He can't make bonds with everyone - the ones he has are enough to keep him exhausted as he tries to hold on to them.]

[But he's experienced, and experience does have some side benefits. Which is why, as the Bastion approaches evening tonight, AZ has set up a small area near the Monument, with pillows and blankets and some food from the kitchens. It's not elaborate, but it doesn't have to be.]

[And if you're not near the Monument? No need to worry. There are a few signs scattered around the Bastion, with a helpful picture of the Monument and an arrow on them. Hopefully one of the languages on it will be comprehensible, if the pictures aren't enough.]

Yeah... It's really hard to not be distressed, isn't it.

It really is... the last week or so hasn't been really kind to us...

Yeah, but... I guess there's not much we can do, right? Not much we can do about...

losing one of our own...

We just have to keep going. It'll be tough, but... that's really all we can do now. Especially since if we stopped, well. Would we really be respecting the sacrifices people made so we could continue living?

[ Naegi sighs quietly as he stares up at the sky with a frown. ]

At least... that's how I feel about it, anyway...

Yeah. I guess we have to not let that be pointless, right? Otherwise...

... well, you know. We don't need to go in circles, after all.

Not at all. But there's nothing wrong with needing time to recover, too...

He certainly is! He's lived quite long, so he has a lot of stories to tell, too.

Mm-hmm... I kind of got that impression just from looking at him, but actually hearing of his experiences makes all the difference, doesn't it...?

[ He probably does, to a degree. Besides, a guy that tall and with much worldly experience most likely has a LOT of stories to tell. ]

[ Naegi nods quietly, sighing to himself as he settles in for the night and looks around. ]

Ah... so far it's just us and the Pokemon, it looks like...

That's okay, though, I guess. It's quieter, or something. I suppose this just might not be the sort of thing most people would think would cheer them up.

True... I'd probably imagine that a party might better help, but considering what happened that seems almost inappropriate...

Not that I don't like the story time, I mean! It's just... it's been really tense.

Yeah... I think we have to wait a little while before we do anything but mourn, right?

Mm-hmm... it won't last, though. This melancholy... it has to lift soon enough, right?

[ Though he doesn't sound at all sure as he would be, rather tellingly... ]

I don't mind at all. Honestly, it's been... about the same as usual. I've mostly been keeping to myself.

[And, you know, the girlfriend thing. Megaera was her girlfriend now, right? Or something?]

Ah... I see. I've just been checking up on my friends myself... as well as gotten a Pokemon, too.
