Day 255 [Open] First rule of Pillow Fight Club: Never talk about Pillow Fight Club

What: Ibuki's bored and is attacking everybody with pillows
Format: Action but ok with switching
Warnings: Pillow abuse


[Sometime after lunch, Ibuki's voice will ring out from everybody's amulet that is within the Bastion's communication range-]

IBUKI IS DECLARING IT NOW. THIS. IS. PILLOW WAR!!!!!!!

[Ibuki will not be responding to amulet network messages that reply to her]

[Rather, she is running around with a bunch of pillows. Should she spot you, prepare yourelf, for she could do a number of things]

[1: Should you not notice her, she'll try to sneak up behind you and bop you on the back of the head with a pillow. If it looks like you're in the middle of important work, it'll be a very soft bop]

[2: If you're watching her, she'll run up to you and try to pillow bop your face]

[3: There is no 3]

[4: She may be hiding around a corner, and when you get close... "BWAH!" Pillow to the face!]

[5: Even dragons aren't safe from pillows.]

[6: If she knows you fairly well, especially if you're a member of her band, she might be coming into your bedroom directly to pillow fight you.]

[Zuko notices Ibuki, but frankly she didn't think a weird girl running around with pillows would have anything to do with her. Ibuki can manage to get quite close to her before she turns and intercepts the incoming pillow strike with her arm.]

What are you doing?

[She... honestly doesn't know.]

[And she's offering Zuko one of the extra pillows]

[Bad, bad choice of nicknames. Zuko makes no move to take the pillow.]

Ah... sorry! Sorry! Ibuki didn't mean to be mean! She doesn't know your name yet, she didn't know what else to call you! That was insensitive of her! The worst!

Please, accept Ibuki's apologies!

Just... don't do it again. It's Zuko.

[This girl is pretty weird, but she seems sincere.

Also Zuko's going to take a moment to appreciate that hair. And she thought she'd seen some strange colors and styles already.]

Right, right! Ibuki Mioda will remember, don't you worry, Zuko-chan! No more nicknames, just Zuko-chan! Ibuki has a reallllllllly good memory, so she won't make the mistake again!

Is "chan" some sort of title? I don't need formalities.

Kind of, but not really! It's nothing special, it's just what Ibuki does! Ibuki adds -chan to everybody's names!

So, so, how about a pillow fight, Zuko-chan? It's fluffy and fun!

[Zuko looks at her for a long moment and this is not the face of someone you'd expect to join a pillow fight but more the face of someone who'd light all the pillows on fire, but ultimately she just asks:]

It's easy! You just bop each other with pillows!

Ooh, but don't go all out! You look like you could really hurt Ibuki with a pillow if you wanted to!

Huh? You're not supposed to try to smother anybody in a pillow fight, Ibuki never said so!

[That's the second person that brought up smothering... why?]

There is no winning! You just keep going until you get bored or tired!

[How else would you hurt anyone with a pillow??]

Never mind. I... guess I could try it.

Really? Really? Okay, here you go! Equip yourself for pillow fight, Zuko-chan!

[She offers a pillow again]

[Zuko takes it this time, still a little unsure. Why is she agreeing to this? It's ridiculous. But hitting someone with a pillow for a few minutes isn't going to kill her.]

Here we go, Zuko-chan!

This. Is. Pillow fight!!!!!

[And... she's bopping Zuko with her own pillow, laughing happily]

[Zuko tries to fend her off and... counterattack? with her pillow. This has got to be the most unwieldy and ineffective weapon she's ever used.]

Kyaaa~ Ibuki's been hit!

[hurray pillow fighting!]

It's fun, right? Is Zuko-chan having fun?

No.

[At least she's honest. She never seems to get what other people do for fun. She tries hitting Ibuki again. Is this supposed to be stress relief? You get to hit someone repeatedly without doing any real harm?]

[Zuko's response lets her get in a hit on Ibuki... not that Ibuki was making much effort to dodge, anyway]

Huh? Huh? Really? Not even a little bit, Zuko-chan?

...I'm not very good at fun.

[She's sure that comes as a surprise.]

Huh? Really? Really?

But you have to have fun sometime, Zuko-chan! All work and no play is no fun!

But it does get things done.

Maybe, that's true... that's true. Still, still, you can't just work all day!

Hey, hey, how about Ibuki plays you a song? Does Zuko-chan like music?
