Day 255 [Open] First rule of Pillow Fight Club: Never talk about Pillow Fight Club

What: Ibuki's bored and is attacking everybody with pillows
Format: Action but ok with switching
Warnings: Pillow abuse


[Sometime after lunch, Ibuki's voice will ring out from everybody's amulet that is within the Bastion's communication range-]

IBUKI IS DECLARING IT NOW. THIS. IS. PILLOW WAR!!!!!!!

[Ibuki will not be responding to amulet network messages that reply to her]

[Rather, she is running around with a bunch of pillows. Should she spot you, prepare yourelf, for she could do a number of things]

[1: Should you not notice her, she'll try to sneak up behind you and bop you on the back of the head with a pillow. If it looks like you're in the middle of important work, it'll be a very soft bop]

[2: If you're watching her, she'll run up to you and try to pillow bop your face]

[3: There is no 3]

[4: She may be hiding around a corner, and when you get close... "BWAH!" Pillow to the face!]

[5: Even dragons aren't safe from pillows.]

[6: If she knows you fairly well, especially if you're a member of her band, she might be coming into your bedroom directly to pillow fight you.]

Ahhh... Ibuki doesn't want to ride around by herself, even if Choco-chan is cute.

Hey, hey, Zuko-chan, why don't you get a Choco-chan for yourself? How about that, how about it?

[she starts carefully steering the chocobo back toward the stable]

But you'd probably have more fun without me.

Don't say that... that's not true! [Ibuki's too much of a people person] Come on, come on!

We could race around! It'll be fun!

A race?

[That is a kind of game Zuko can understand.]

[scary_music]

Yes! A race!

[Has she finally pinged one of Zuko's interests?!]

Races are always fun, right? Right? Let's do it, Zuko-chan, let's race!

[She does do better with things that can actually be won.]

All right. Just don't go overboard.

You're right, you're right!

If Ibuki falls overboard, that'd be really bad! The worst! Let's avoid the edge, too, we don't want to go overboard there!

[She stops the chocobo by the stables]

[Not exactly what she meant but.]

...yeah, don't do that either.

[Zuko dismounts and walks over to the chocobos still in the stable to choose one.]

Right, right! Let's avoid all the bad things and make sure it's just good things!

[She'll start petting her chocobo while she waits]

[daughterofursa]

[Avoiding all the bad things: not something Zuko is good at either, but she thinks for a silly chocobo race she can probably manage it.

Selecting one of the chocobos, she climbs on and takes it for a short test walk around the stables.]

All right. Where are we racing to?

[scary_music]

Mmmmmm...

How about, how about... to the monument and back! That's a good race for Ibuki's first go!

Hopefully Ibuki won't run into it! That would be sad for the chocobo! Don't run into monuments, okay, Choco-chan?

[daughterofursa]

I'm sure your chocobo wouldn't. Just make sure he doesn't throw you.

[Zuko brings her bird up alongside Ibuki's.]

On three?

Oooh, did you hear that, Choco-chan? Please make sure you don't throw Ibuki! She's not sure how you can pick up Ibuki and throw her without arms, but please treat your rider kindly!

Okay, on three! Zuko-chan, you do the countdown, Ibuki might count too fast!

[She may be hyper but she'll at least wait for the proper countdown]

Trust me, they don't need arms.

All right.

[Zuko gives the count... and on three she heels her chocobo forward and urges it up to a run.]

[And Ibuki's quick to react, heeling her own chocobo and sending it running forward]

Here we go, here we go, it's the Bastion's first official chocobo race!

Or maybe not! Ibuki has no clue, she hasn't been here long! Let's do our best, Choco-chan!!

[As quick as Ibuki is to learn what she puts her mind to, it's still her first race, so it's unlikely she's going to win this thing...]

[Yeah, Zuko has had more riding experience. These might not be ostrich horses, but they're pretty similar. If anything, the birds seem to enjoy the speed even more.

Ibuki's not going to get much conversation out of Zuko until the race is finished. She's more focused on the goal.]

[Ibuki's just... jabbering away the whole race, but doesn't really say much of any importance, really]

[And soon enough, a winner is you, Zuko! Ibuki soon comes in at second place]

Ooh! Ibuki lost! How can she face her fans, she let them all down...!!!

Ibuki was outmatched by Zuko-chan's superior skill! Ibuki needs to train harder!!!

[Zuko might be looking a little smug.]

I didn't know you had any racing fans.

[scary_music]

Oooh, Zuko-chan, your words strike deep and with much cruelty!!

But it's true, none of Ibuki's fans expected her to be racing, so they're not her racing fans! You've uncovered Ibuki's terrible secret! How will she live this down?!

[daughterofursa]

[Smugness gone at the accusation of her cruelty.]

It was only your first time.

[Zuko you need to stop taking everything that Ibuki says at face value-]

That's true, that's true!

Maybe someday, Ibuki will be able to provide a real challenge to Zuko-chan's racing prowess!

Wait, wait, Ibuki knows! How about an on-foot race? Ibuki loves races, so invigorating! Ibuki works her legs so much, surely she can provide a decent challenge for you in the on-foot race arena, Zuko-chan!

[She doesn't do it with everything.

Mostly just the things that are about her.]

Are you asking for a rematch?

[scary_music]

A rematch, yes! But without the chocobos this time!

How about it, how about it? Ibuki's ready if you are, Zuko-chan!

[She just has to dismount first and give her chocobo a nice scritch.]

[Ibuki pretty much follows suit, giving her chocobo a lot of pettings and scritchings-]

Sorry, Choco-chan, sorry! Ibuki's not experienced with riding you yet! Maybe someday, Ibuki will be a worthy rider for you!
