Day 309 [Open]
Who: Anya, Ibuki, Patchouli, and anyone else!
Open: Open! Mostly.
When: Day 309
Where: All over the Bastion
What: SNOW!
Format: I'll match
Warnings: It's Anya.
[For Ibuki and Patchouli]
[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.
She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]
[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.
At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.
So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]
((OOC: And feel free to just use this post for mingling!]

totally not sulking about losing everything that defined her purpose in life no- okay maybe...-, Mitellux emerges out of hiding and...][... it's snow.]
[The dragon just kind of stares. No, she didn't particularly like this. She'd probably love this if she was a white dragons. Shame. She didn't have any reason to hate it, at least]
no subject
Curiosity won over and Kizuna is out in the snow, the little dragon now closer to the size of a housecat. She seems by turns fascinated by this strange white stuff and alarmed by how cold it is. She's so distracted by it that she has yet to notice the new giant dragon.
Zuko, trailing behind her and still moving gingerly, gives Mitellux a polite nod.]
no subject
[She gives a short nod in return to Zuko, before slowly lowering her head into the snow and watching the baby dragon]
Where are her parents?
[Paarthurnax was clearly not the one who sired this child.]
no subject
I guess that's me. She came from the Monument.
no subject
It creates life as well?
[... could she perhaps create her own child from it as well? She then turns her attention back to Kizuna, tilting her head slightly and murmuring comforting words in draconian]
no subject
It can. Plants and animals.
...I don't think anyone's tried to- make a person.
no subject
... animals...
[she hesitates a moment at that]
What sort of dragon is Kizuna? Will she grow intelligent?

Good afternoon. Are you enjoying the... unexpected weather we're having?
no subject
No.
[See how her black scales stands out against the snow? She can't blend in well with this shit, man]
This weather is unusual for this place, then?
[If this is just a one time thing, she can live with that]
no subject
Also the idea of a dragon blending in and being stealthy doesn't even cross his mind.]
Weather of any kind is unusual here. In the time I've been here it's remained the same temperature the entire time. I'm guessing that someone artificially created this weather somehow.
no subject
Hmph. Magic or technology could create this phenomenon.
[Mitellux was not terribly familiar enough with either to know much more than that, though. In the end, she was really just an assassin]
[Well, she has another way of blending in, but she's not ready to let people know about that just yet]
The core hunts appear to always be a dangerous endeavor. Why did you accompany the group?
[... yeah sorry, she's a bit blunt and wasn't terribly impressed by your contributions to the fight against the anklegator]
no subject
...Gotta make sure I'm doing something useful around here.
[It's not the whole truth but it isn't a lie either. It probably says something that this is the answer he feels most comfortable giving to a stranger.]
no subject
And was that display evidence of how 'useful' you normally are on the battlefield?

Still, Myrrh approaches slowly, and doesn't come too close. Her wings unfurl from against her body, though not to their full span.]
Ah... [A pause as she forces back the way her voice catches. She fidgets her fingers; snow brushes onto her bare feet when she shifts her feet so she tries keeping them still.] Hello.
no subject
Greetings.
[Mitellux's posture is somewhat defensive, ready in case of a sudden attack]
... and what are you?
[Not who are you. Mitellux wasn't... the most diplomatic dragon around]
no subject
My name is Myrrh.
no subject
[She wasn't completely lacking in manners, at least. Still, she wasn't comfortable enough with Myrrh to share much more than that]
Manakete. I am unfamiliar with the word.

So you are... a half-breed, then?
[There is a small amount of uncertainty in her voice. Part of her wants to be disgusted, but at the same time what sort of exceptional humanoid would a dragon actually choose to go and mate with? She is familiar with the concept of interracial breeding, but it was still relatively uncommon in her world]
And this 'change', I assume you take a form more akin to my own than your current form?

Oh, hey. Good to see you anew.
no subject
[They probably exchanged names at some point? Let's go with that]
Would you know the reason for this change in weather? I was informed it is unusual around here.
no subject
[Right. Succubi have racial cold resistance.]
They didn't shift the temperature too, though, so it won't last.
no subject
I have survived in far worse environments, but it is good to know this is only temporary.
[She eyes Megaera for a moment.]
You have dragons similar to myself, where you come from? What is the name of your world?
no subject
Surviving's one thing. Liking kind of another.
... Technically, I should answer that 'The Second Hell'. Or one of the six hundred odd names for the place. But I'm guessing you mean the Material Plane that matches?
