And I feel summertime passing in haste, like running out of patience... [OPEN]
Who: One very broken half-demon and whoever might actually go looking for her.
Open: Open
When: Day 80
Where: The Bastion, Rin's apartment
What: Rin hasn't been seen since she and Night returned from looking for their lost loved ones. Some one is bound to notice her absence sooner or later
Format: Action
Warnings: None
[Rin had been an almost constant presence in the distillery kitchen in the month and some odd days she had been in the Bastion. If she wasn't out on the Skyway or sleeping she was helping Mireille, and even on her worst days being able to cook was enough to put a small smile on her face.
But for the past two days - ever since leaving with Night to the Skyway and returning - she was nowhere to be found. She wasn't in the distillery or anywhere else.
Well that wasn't entirely true. She was in her apartment. But that was the only place she had been in nearly two days.
And she would wind up staying there, so long as no one came looking for her...]

[a deep, put-upon sigh]
No matter how much I want to.
no subject
You don't wanna hear it. Trust me, okay?
no subject
[Uh...]
...lovely weather we're having?
no subject
[She's not trying to be rude, but her patience is a little thin today.]
no subject
[presenting the clothes with as little flourishing as possible] I put these together for you...
no subject
[Rin blinks a few times, suddenly looking sheepish.]
... I... a-actually... had somethin' for you too...

[she finally moves past the door, opening it fully so he can come in to her slightly messy, bare apartment.]

I wanted to though. Lemmie go get it...
[and ducking in to her bedroom]

There is one personal item sitting out, though - a tarnished pin sitting on the small coffee table in the living room. It looks like it's been sitting under dirt for some time, and it's not something Rin has ever been seen carrying around or wearing.
There's a bit of thudding in the bedroom - whatever she's getting seems to be taking a little while to get out.]
no subject
[glances to the bedroom at all the crashing and thumping] Uh... need help?
no subject
[And soon enough she emerges with something in a fairly heavy looking wooden crate.
She brings it out and sets it down, revealing the parts of an old style sewing machine and the table it's supposed to be built in to, complete with the giant pedal that moves it by foot power as opposed to electricity.]
There's no electricity yet, but... I hope this helps you until we can get it here.
no subject
[but as he moves in for a closer look, his confusion changes to delight and surprise] You didn't... you did!
[he sweeps her up into a big spinning hug] You did, you did, you did! Thank you, Rin-chan!
no subject
[Rin wasn't a very large girl, muscular to be sure but she was shorter than her younger twin and not all that heavy, but she was far more used to being able to pick up other people with ease. Being hugged and spun around was entirely new, and she couldn't help but be a little surprised.
But after the surprise wore off, she hugged him back, smiling at his happiness.]
Heh... you're welcome, Kaoru-kun...

no subject
So... yeah, it's all yours.
no subject
[he hesitates] ...could I call on you for one more favour though? Would you help me get it upstairs?
no subject
[Never mind that she's still a mess of tangled hair and rumpled clothes. She doesn't think twice about grabbing the box and heading for the door.]
no subject
Just... go ahead and put it anywhere.
no subject
So it doesn't bother her at all to get up the stairs with the crate and takes it to his apartment, finding a place to set it down. Her shirt is practically falling off one shoulder and oops she's not even wearing a bra. Geez, Rin.
At least she lacks the chest size for it to be embarrassingly noticeable?]
Want me to help you set it up, too?
no subject
Let me clear some space, first...
[the table with the fabrics on was his main workspace, so he carefully shoves that aside and against the wall so that the sewing machine can have pride of place. He really should sort the fabrics on the table and get them organised. Perhaps if he had shelves, it would be easier...
His hand shoots up to grab something from a hanger. Better duck, Rin-chan, that would be a camisole sailing across the room towards you]
You should wear underwear, you know.
Having a small chest is no excuse.
no subject
[Rin catches the flying garment, holding it out and staring at it in confusion.
Why did she get a tank top thrown at her?
(Yes she really has no idea what a cami is)]
... c'mon, it's not that noticeable is it?
[Yes she's totally squeezing her small chest together at you, Kaoru.]
What is this anyway?
no subject
[no. No Rin. You didn't.]
...that, Rin-chan is lingerie. Which was invented for the express purpose of covering those mosquito bites of yours.
