[So. Remember how there are chunks of the Skyway that sort of just fly around, not really connected to any of the paths?

Well, on one of those chunks is an old red telephone booth. Said chunk is maybe ten or so feet away from one of the Skyway paths, and the phone inside happens to be ringing.

They would have to be, considering this phone booth practically has its own private island.

So let me get this straight. You're calling from a place that isn't the Bastion, trying to reach someone else who isn't at the Bastion either.

There are two whole camps of people besides ours who aren't dead?

Unless of course something happened to your friend and that's what set the phone booth adrift.
