Notes: The two separate situations, for sake of ease, will be in two different top threads. Consider the dovahzul group a sort of mingle! Get to know your fellow students better.


In the time between morning and noon, Paarthurnax settles down by the river of Dragonfield where the usual stone tablet depicting all the letters of dovahzul is. It's a recognizable landmark, after all... Although he won't turn away new faces.

During the afternoon, anyone venturing nearby will be called to by the old dragon. Investigate?

I am simply gathering information- the skills and talents we all possess. It may be useful to have them written down, for all to look at. Perhaps we shall not be caught unprepared when the next disaster comes upon us.

[dragonform]

Well... You already know about my healing magic and swordsmanship, but only one person has seen the full extent of my powers as a member of the Brood. Do you think that should be documented?

[wayofvoice]

If you wish for it to be. I would certainly welcome it.

[dragonform]

[He nods.] We should probably go out on the skyway. I don't want to risk hurting anyone. I don't use this form very often, but you'll see why.

[wayofvoice]

Of course. I shall see you there, then.

[With that, he'll step away from the stones and take to the air.]

[dragonform]

[One magical timeskip later, Ryu waves to Paarthunax coming down from above.]

Hey!

[wayofvoice]

[Timeskips are magic, move over friendship]

Drem. Shall we start then?

[dragonform]

[He nods.]

Though what you're gonna see may not be exactly what you expect. This was what I used to defeat Myria, the goddess. While it's extremely powerful, I can't maintain the transformation for very long. But it should be long enough for you to see what you need to.

[And Ryu begins welling the energy up inside of him. While Paarthunax has likely seen him transform more than a few times by now, this is significantly different. There's something deep being pulled from within Ryu. While Ryu's other transformations involve some dramatic shift in shape and size, this one is different. When the change is complete, Ryu is left standing before Paarthunax not as a dragon, but as himself. Though his ordinarily blue hair is replaced with a bright blonde.]

This is one half of my most powerful transformation. With mastering Kaiser, I can use the full power of a dragon in my human form. Or if I must reduce my enemy to nothing, I can become the dragon itself.

[Paarthurnax watches carefully, nodding once Ryu is done.]

I see. Let us hope that such power is not needed in these times.

[dragonform]

I'd prefer not to use it, as it's far too destructive for a world already so torn apart. No need to risk making things worse.

[And the second transformation is seamless. While his other forms required time and focus to change, Ryu could shift between human and dragon effortlessly while channeling Kaiser. What replaces Ryu's form is a dragon that easily rivals Paarthunax's size, maybe even a little bigger. If for only a matter of moments, Paarthunax is able to glimpse the full power of the Brood unleashed before it fades away. When the dragon fades, Ryu appears before his friend once again. Though his hair has returned to its blue color.]

And that... Is Kaiser.

[He might be more than a little winded.]

Impressive.

[But not so impressive that Paarthurnax won't promptly lean his head down to gently nudge Ryu. As gently as he can be, anyway.]

Are you well?

[dragonform]

Yeah, it just takes a lot to maintain. I could stay like that longer if I was feeling better, but I'm not quite back to normal yet.

[He smiles and pats Paar's nose.]

Don't worry, I'll be okay.

Do not tire yourself out too quickly. There are others that will welcome your burden until you are more well.
