195 :: Prose [ OPEN BECAUSE WHY NOT ] Forked Lightning

Who: Tris, Rosethorn
Open: Open because why not
When: 195
Where: Apartments -> Cottages
What: Weather Witch moves in with Plant Mage
Format: log
Warnings: ... IDK.

The choice was rather simple. Rosethorn was Tris's foster mother, a place had opened up where Rosethorn could have her plants right outside, and Tris could still have her bit of height.

This does mean that they have to move what they already have over though. Tris with baskets or just folded cloth, Chime occasionally clutching something or other as she flies by, Rosethorn with her baskets of medicine, they'll be a bit of a common sight for a little while.

Tris and Rosethorn aren't the only ones moving, although Zuko is coming from the tower apartments and headed for a different cottage. She doesn't have nearly so many things to bring over either. In fact, one trip should do it for her, her spare clothing and tea set in a pack and her swords slung over her shoulder.

"...either of you need a hand?" She doesn't know what all that stuff is, but it doesn't hurt to offer.

With everything going on so far, Ryu finally has a chance to depart for the Skyway to get a little shard hunting done. As he passes down the halls and stairs of the apartments, he does catch sight of Rosethorn and Tris passing through the building carrying their things. Though where they're going is still a bit of a mystery to him.

"Doing a little spring cleaning?" He asks with a smile if he catches either one as they're leaving, though now he's not sure if the Bastion has any other seasons aside from what he's been living through so far.

Rosethorn has wanted to move for awhile, to somewhere she can live on the ground floor, walk straight out the door into plants. When she first sees the cottage, the sense of home is so strong that it almost hurts. It's smaller than Discipline, without the fence or the green trim, her garden or the workroom additions off to the sides. It's built the same way, though, whitewashed stone and thatched roof. She checks to make sure it isn't occupied first, going inside and seeing the kind of simple usable furniture anyone would expect to see on temple grounds outside of the temple itself. Then she goes home and asks Tris.

She watches her foster daughter the first time they reach the cottage. Rosethorn is alert for the same wave of homesickness she experienced when she asks, "Does it look alright to you?"

She knows full-well how bittersweet it is, finding the house without all the occupants they'd like to see there. Like home, but how can it be when the house is empty? If it's too much for Tris, they can look somewhere else.
