Colin's spent much of the morning gathering food from the farm. Navits, donuts from the trees, and some fresh veggies as well. Normally, he'd take these to the distillery for Rin to work on, but today he's got a different plan. He's set up a table in front of the monument, and he's spread out the snacks on plates. Then, he's going to sit behind the table and start working on some electronics while he waits for people to approach him. He'd have done this sooner, but the past couple of days have been rough on the Bastion's inhabitants.

The food bribery method has worked for Tris, he's hoping it's going to work for him too. Of course, if it doesn't he'll track down a couple of select people. But he'll see how his fishing expedition goes first.

(OOC: In four days in-game time, Colin will be taking another group to the Mancer's Observatory. There's a giant plant that needs to be dealt with, and Colin wants to go through the Mancer's hangar to salvage ships or ship parts. If you want in? By all means, post here! There will be an OOC post a little later on to better organize things, but this will give us some IC time to prep for it.)

[Naturally, the first to show up food bribery is Alucard. And yes, by now he is well aware that this is bribery, but he just doesn't particularly care.

Instead of saying anything, he simply starts eating one of the donuts and stares at Colin, awaiting explanation.]

[He sets down the unrecognizable pile of stuff he was working at, and he grins.]

I was actually hoping I'd see you, and everyone else who was with us before. I'm planning to head back out to the observatory in two days.

I need to get at that hangar again, and there's the matter of the giant plant that still needs to be dealt with. If I can assemble enough souls, you interested in going back?

[He ponders this for a minute, the first doughnut disappearing along with part of a second one before he has an answer.]

[After a day of revelations and time to cool his jets, Nathaniel is finally feeling like he can start towards repairing the damage he helped create. Unfortunately, when he sees Colin, he is a touch suspicious.]

What's all this for? I thought we ate at the Distillery.

I'm looking to recruit some people for another trip out to the observatory. We had to cut our last one short because we didn't have the right preparations for what we found there.

[Ryu wanders past with his fishing pole, and then stops. He has an idea of what's going on. ... But food. He walks over, picking up a donut. It's kind of weird, but he takes a bite.]

[At least he remembers to swallow before speaking.]

What's up? I'm guessing this isn't a sign of some picnic celebration.

[Yeah, it's certainly been a rough few days... Zulf certainly knows that. The black eye is gone now thanks to some very handy healing by another of the Bastion's residents but somehow he looks even more exhausted than when he and Nathaniel had gotten into their fight. Between Zia and the Kid alone, he's had to do a fair bit of very emotional talking.]

[So the idea of something sweet does appeal to him right now, which is obvious by how he eyes those donuts on display. However, as he comes to a stop in front of Colin's table, he doesn't take one. His hands are in their usual place in front of him.]

By taking something to eat, does that mean I automatically consent to something?

[Well, with the excitement of the past few days fresh in his mind, Ippo had been out trying to run off some of the lingering anxieties that had come from all the tension felt around the Bastion; it just so happened he stumbled across Colin and his assortment of food. He wasn't as much interested in that, but he'd pick up a donut anyways as he raised a hand in greeting to his friend, hoping he wasn't bothering him while he was working.]

[Well, Aoi can't just very well ignore a donut, now can she? Being out on her daily jog absolutely isn't stopping her. When she pauses at the table, she still runs in place. Clearly, her interest has been perked.]

[Clever plan Colin. Jazz comes over after his morning jog around the Bastion and grabs one of the vegetables. He takes a bite as he sits himself down. Nothing wrong with resting a little. Plus he can ask the man he remembered from their exploration a few questions.]

Oh yeah, working on a couple of radios right now. I figure the easier we can keep in contact while we've got teams out there, the better off we'll be.

Hello there!

No, we're not celebrating anything. I'm putting together an expedition to the Observatory again, and I'm resorting to bribery to get people to come over.

[He smiles warmly at Polka.]
