For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[She may... actually mean that literally. It's hard to tell.]

Doesn't that just mean... we go with Axel?

[croceamors]

My best friend was the more outgoing type. I was... snarky at best.

[Wasn't that how he was described as a teenager?]

[croceamors]

We'd need to find Axel.

[coolerthansora]

Good idea.

[Oh. That probably means he should get off of you.

The quickest and easiest way to do that seems to be to roll sideways so they're both lying on the floor.]

[They are such elegant drunks.]

Where do you think we'll find him?

[coolerthansora]

Maybe he's at the party. Lots of people were there. And ice cream.

[Because let's face it, Axel is more likely to be drawn in by the ice cream.]

[croceamors]

He does like ice cream. We should go there- again. Keep the pillow. It might be important.

[So important.]

Okay.

[Roxas starts to pick himself up off the floor, hauling his pillow with him. He looks around the unfamiliar apartment.]

How do we get there again?

[croceamors]

We got here... [Not by door? Oh, right. Saix pushes himself up.]

Portal.

You must have been cute.

[coolerthansora]

Right... You make one.

[He'd do it himself but he's carrying a pillow.]

[croceamors]

[Rude. Saix has one two. A pillow. Man, there are going to be some confused people later.]

Fine. I will. Just... hold on. [Let him just focus and wait for the world to come clear. Finally, a portal opens up. Does it open to the party? Did the portal form kinda wobbly or is that just the alcohol messing things up? Only one way to find it. Saix finally gets to his feet.] C'mon.

I looked ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as my friend, at least, but still.

[At the very least it should lead out of the apartment because the other end isn't in here. Roxas walks to the portal without really wondering if it's going to the right place.]

[croceamors]

[Small blessings.]

[Thankfully, it doesn't lead to somewhere like right in the middle of the Pyth pit. Instead, they're just... kind of near the river. Huh. This sure isn't near most of the party. Oh well. Saix presses his free hand to his face.]

...I think I messed that up.

Cute and ridiculous aren't mutually exclusive.

...Fine. Fair enough.

I don't see balloons.

[Were there even balloons at the party? Who knows. But there should be. He looks around and then gestures with his pillow.]

I think we need to go that way.

[croceamors]

Balloons?

[Oh wait, nevermind, time to set off. Saix starts to make his way before it occurs to him to ask-]

Are you sure?

Well, it wasn't- by water.

[So shouldn't they go away from the river?]

[croceamors]

Right... And water was... [Uh.] Down. So we should go up, right?

[North. He means north.]
