For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.

Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.

When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

[Viola's sudden yell after so long of concentrating on just Pyth nearly makes Saix trip, but he manages to catch himself with his hand and roll out of the way in the nick of time.]

[Crona is certainly not a happy drunk at this moment. And not very coherent either, though honestly that's more a "Crona" thing than a "really drunk" thing.]

The river has fish in it. I don't know how they got there.

Oh really? [Stein wasn’t one of those people, but that's likely because he’s pretty much become a creepy hermit scientist who never leaves the hospital.]

[His jaw tightens unconsciously at the mention of ‘kind’ Gods. True, without the presence of a God of some sort he would have lost himself to madness long ago, but he still has to question whether or not this place can really be seen as a display of a higher power’s ‘kindness’.]

What do you make of it? [The festival, the Bastion, all of it – hearing the perspective of someone who seems more well-advised than himself piques his interest.]

[Better he eat too much food than too many souls, even if Crona ends up paying the price for that. That part is unavoidable in either circumstance, actually.]

[Paarthurnax seems to consider this carefully. He already knows his position on things, and now it is merely a matter of using the right words without slipping into his own tongue. With those such as Ryu and Crona to converse with in it, he's gotten better, but he still takes care.]

I could partake in much worse hardship than that we have already seen. However, I know many here cannot with one event following another. Whatever the cause of it, many need this.
