Day 134(+135?) | Dry Lightning

Who: Tris, Briar, Rosethorn, and EVERYONE IN BASTION. Yes. All of you. Including the dragon. They will find you c:
OPEN
Where: All over the bastion. There will be a note on the monument, then Tris/Briar/Rosethorn may just come find your character (If that is all right-)
When: Day 134, (135 if needed-)
What: After the events of that gathering and the arrival of one of their teachers, the Winding Circle mages think everyone needs to meditate. Its a good idea. It will help. Really. And no, they don't plan on giving much of a choice.
Format: Will match!
Warnings: Will edit if any are needed!

It starts with a plate of cookies (The ones Tris pretty much always makes), and a piece of paper stuck out by the monument. The paper shows a figure, with an upset face and leaking lines of some sort, then the figure settled in a circle in what should be a fairly standard meditation seat, then the figure again, although this time with a smile and no leaking lines. Completely clear, right?

It gets a little more vague. This looks like the shape of the Bastion, with a bunch of figures in it. One even looks like a dragon. The figures are all inside a circle right after that. Is that clear? No?

Well, there are three mages looking to talk to the residents of the Bastion today. Tris, Briar, or Rosethorn can explain. And they intend to explain to everyone why its a good idea.

(OOC: You can : Pick a location and a mage (in the headline) if you prefer one, or just a location and whoever is on will jump at you.

If there was anything Zelda was radiating, it was sulking. But beyond that, she really didn't understand what this woman was alluding to.

"I apologize," she offered, although she had a feeling an apology wouldn't be enough. "I was not aware that I ... radiate magic." Nor did she understand what exactly 'radiating' magic entailed. "I have never seen magic, save when I am using it."

And even then, she didn't really see it, per say. Her body glowed when she shared her life force to heal someone, but otherwise, she only knew when her magic was working because she could sense it. She knew, with some intangible sixth sense.

The jump from magic to meditation seemed like an illogical one to Zelda and she didn't quite make it.

"I have read a little about meditating to ease the mind," she ventured, hoping that this small knowledge would appease Tris a little. It was amazing how this woman--probably no older than Zelda and certainly no taller in stature--could make the young sovereign feel like an inattentive pupil before a stern tutor. "But I was not aware that there was any connection between meditation and magic."

Woe that anyone in Hyrule suffer a temper as sharp as Tris' from their princess. Her kingdom benefited from her naturally even temperament.

But the idea of controlling her magic certainly appealed to Zelda. Although, to be more accurate-- "This magic is ... not mine, exactly. Its source is an ancient relic created by the gods. I do not control it so much as ... borrow its power, I suppose you would say."

The Triforce didn't exactly act within the expected parameters of magic in Hyrule, and explaining that was more difficult than Zelda had anticipated. She had not taken the Triforce's power; it had selected her and granted her its gift. She was not its owner so much as its vessel. For once, Zelda felt a bit intimidated by the magic she had carried all her life.

Zelda shook her head, brows furrowed in concentration. "No, I have never considered it that way."

And it's strange to consider, really. The Triforce is an object of limitless power, and Zelda could only imagine it spilling continuously over the edges of a bowl.

"I do not recall when I first received its power," she admitted. "It has been with me as long as I have borne the mark of the gods." She removed one of her gloves and displayed for Tris the Triforce mark on the back of her right hand. Black veins snaked menacingly around it.
