[The excitement of the day before moves in to the quiet of the day after in the Bastion. It's fairly calm after all that, and the two new arrivals have been mostly healed. Current residents will find the once-armored woman bandaged still but in surprisingly good spirits, and the male with the guitar skittish and likely to jump at the smallest thing.

This would be a good point to talk to them, other NPCs or even your fellow NPCs.]

[She could tell that the sky was odd, but that was about all she had been able to figure out on her own so far.]

[Ahime's head tilted up, staring at the odd colored sky above them curiously]

[The meister nods.]

Never. I don't know why.

I... suppose we are up very high, but that doesn't explain why a sun could never set.

[Ahime shakes her head slowly]

This place is far more confusing than I previous imagined.

T-there are a lot of things that are different, you know?

I've noticed. Land floating in the sky, for starters. I've seen a lot of things in my years but this is nothing short of a miracle.

[blackblooded]

... that... that's a strange thing? I never knew that was strange.

[bastionpc]

In my home, at least. Islands in the sea were normal, of course, but never in the sky.

Why, was it different where you came from?

[blackblooded]

The moon, you know? It's land floating in the sky.

[bastionpc]

Well, in space, at least as far as the scholars of old have speculated. It's... not quite the same as this.

[blackblooded]

... if the moon were out in space, it couldn't bleed on people.

[bastionpc]

Bleed... on people?

[WELL THEN]

[A nod.]

From its teeth, you know?

[bastionpc]

... well that's... certainly different.

[blackblooded]

[A pause, looking down at the water.]

It smiles, so it has to have teeth.

[bastionpc]

The moon has... teeth. ... I assume that it has a face as well?

[blackblooded]

[A nod, shifting slightly to find a little empty patch. The moon, drawn with a finger in the dirt.]

I see. I've never seen "man in the moon" be so... literal.

[blackblooded]

That's how it is. I don't know how to deal with a world where it's different.

I'm sorry to hear that... this must be difficult for you then.

[Just a nod. Most things are difficult for Crona.]

I'm not sure if will help you at all, but when I can't deal with something, I try to take a few deep breaths and think of the things I can normally handle. Then I tell myself "If I can handle these things, surely I can deal with one more thing!"

... things... they aren't all the same, you know? One thing might be easy but different things aren't.

Besides, there aren't many things I can deal with...
