[The excitement of the day before moves in to the quiet of the day after in the Bastion. It's fairly calm after all that, and the two new arrivals have been mostly healed. Current residents will find the once-armored woman bandaged still but in surprisingly good spirits, and the male with the guitar skittish and likely to jump at the smallest thing.

Crona? That's a lovely name. It's nice to meet you, Crona.

[the woman bows with a fist to her chest]

I'm Ahime.

I.... I'm looking at the fish, you know? Have you seen them?

Not these fish, no. Would you mind if I looked with you?

[blackblooded]

[Crona nods, scooting over. A faint blush, cheeks going gray.]

You.... ah... you have to be still. And quiet. They're scared, you know?

[Crona is a lot like the fish.]

[Ahime nodded, moving closer to the river slowly. She smiled again, keeping her voice quiet.]

My home was an island with many rivers flowing through it. I'm no stranger to fish and their ways.

Before I came here, I hadn't seen fish alive before. They're... flashy.

Their scales shine under the sun. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you can watch an entire school light up the water.

[Crona's cheeks go slightly more gray.

It's... nice. Pleasant. It's quiet and the fish are pretty and this lady seems like a nice person.

Even Ragnarok is being quiet for now, silent and mostly-sleeping inside of Crona.

... It.. it's hard, you know? The days don't work right.

[She could tell that the sky was odd, but that was about all she had been able to figure out on her own so far.]

[Ahime's head tilted up, staring at the odd colored sky above them curiously]

Never. I don't know why.

I... suppose we are up very high, but that doesn't explain why a sun could never set.

[Ahime shakes her head slowly]

This place is far more confusing than I previous imagined.

T-there are a lot of things that are different, you know?

I've noticed. Land floating in the sky, for starters. I've seen a lot of things in my years but this is nothing short of a miracle.

... that... that's a strange thing? I never knew that was strange.

In my home, at least. Islands in the sea were normal, of course, but never in the sky.

Why, was it different where you came from?

The moon, you know? It's land floating in the sky.

[bastionpc]

Well, in space, at least as far as the scholars of old have speculated. It's... not quite the same as this.

[blackblooded]

... if the moon were out in space, it couldn't bleed on people.
