Day 88:: Can you hear me, I know I'm just a whisper...

[The excitement of the day before moves in to the quiet of the day after in the Bastion. It's fairly calm after all that, and the two new arrivals have been mostly healed. Current residents will find the once-armored woman bandaged still but in surprisingly good spirits, and the male with the guitar skittish and likely to jump at the smallest thing.

This would be a good point to talk to them, other NPCs or even your fellow NPCs.]

Hm. [ The onmyoji frowns, casting his gaze sidelong. Eventually he sighs and gestures vaguely with one hand. ]

Well, I apologize for any extra distress caused by my servant. No doubt his ways are rather...tactless. even so, I am grateful we were able o see you both safely here. I am certain you will settle in and find a comfortable place in time.

[There wasn't much that could be done about the young man until he calmed down on his own.]

Oh, I wouldn't worry too much. He would have been frazzled no matter what, I'm sure.

... I'm sorry, but am I upsetting you? You seem in an awful hurry to run off. I promise the armor only makes me look intimidating.

Ah? Haha, no. No. [ A small smile and apologetic nod. ] I do not feel comfortable around too many people. Recent events have...made things more complex. I am also working on building a home for myself away from the others, and it tends to take up a great deal of my time and energy.
Besides, I am certain many people will be curious about the newcomers and I would not wish to be in the way.

Oh, I see. I understand!

[She smiles warmly at him, the kind of smile a mother would give to their child, though there's nothing condescending about it. Just a gentle understanding. Space is space after all and people do want it sometimes. He did take time out of his day to see her and that's enough.]

In that case, I'll let you get back to it. But don't worry about bothering me in the future - I would love to sit and talk when you have more time.

Hm. Perhaps. [ He couldn't help but smile in return, offering another bow and turning to leave. he stops, however, and clears his throat. ] The young man, Ippo. I do not know if he is god-touched, or merely simple...but he is kindly, and he put himself at great risk without any of the skills or training many of the others here have. Should you see him, I hope you voice gratitude to him in particular.
