[Grey gives River a confused look.]

I'm here because I asked if your hurt yourself?

Everyone's hurting.

We brought this on ourselves.

[Or so some people like to think. She glances at Red.]

[She definitely thinks that, yes.

She is thinking other things too. Like how she is sure her group is falling over themselves trying to stay fed and healthy without her there to lead them, or how her daughter is doing without her there. But she still doesn't speak to River, beyond thinking 'You DID bring this on yourselves' in River's general direction. Not because she thinks River can actually hear her, but rather because she is angry and bitter and thinking things at people makes her feel better.

Grey speaks up again.]

Look, Red's not going to do anything, but we can work something out, can't we? It might just be all one big misunderstanding, maybe if we all talk calmly we can find a solution?

Might be too late. Even if you hurry back, it takes a titan to hold up the heavens.

But we have to go back, we're needed to keep everyone safe, and we need to find those cores too.

[Grey looks thoroughly confused, and Red just sighs and speaks.]

Don't bother her, Grey. She's either messing with you, or she's messed up.

[River looks at Red again.]

You can't keep her safe. Not from here, not standing right next to her. Could sacrifice her to the beast without ever knowing.

[Red's face darkens, because she had been thinking about her daughter. Her response is very short.]

You have no idea what you are talking about.

[Already she is thinking of all the bad things that could happen. Her daughter is 14, and she is much more hopeful than most of their group. Even with the promise of everyone returning to life soon, she still values everyone's lives and would rather nobody die. She is naive, and Red fears for her safety.]

Maybe she'll even volunteer.

[That was not a good thing to say. Red is snapping at River now.]

[River shuts up.

She doesn't say anything, at least, she just starts laughing. What a creeper.]

When her group invades and gives everyone the choice of 'join us, or die', River won't get that option. Red will see to that.]

[Everyonewill be coming back to life soon anyway, so she's not worried about her own death yet.]
