Day 309 [Open]
Who: Anya, Ibuki, Patchouli, and anyone else!
Open: Open! Mostly.
When: Day 309
Where: All over the Bastion
What: SNOW!
Format: I'll match
Warnings: It's Anya.
[For Ibuki and Patchouli]
[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.
She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]
[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.
At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.
So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]
((OOC: And feel free to just use this post for mingling!]

I was known back home for good luck... I don't know if it really counts as such, though, seeing as how it's more bad luck, if anything...

[Especially not considering recent events.]

[ His life summed up in a sentence. ]

[ Naegi's luck at work, Zuko. ]

Sure, I have choices, but then the luck thing happens and it either turns out really good or really bad.
no subject
[That's not how luck works, is it??]

[ It'd be shocking if he actually succeeded in something that wasn't the result of some weird failure or something... ]

[ Well, that's a depressing thought... ]

There's no guarantee for success, and you might fail a lot, but you're still in control of your own life. If you don't keep trying, nothing will ever happen.
[Zuko's inspiring speech about failure is... improving?]
no subject
[ Considering who it's from, Naegi's actually pretty touched. Especially since Zuko's improving and thought it would work... needless to say, it definitely worked.
He finds himself laughing a little, before he smiles at Zuko and nods quietly in agreement. ]
You're right. If I keep focusing on if I fail or screw-up, then... nothing's ever gonna change.
The only way it'll change is if I do something even if I worry about it, right...?
no subject
Right. Failure isn't guaranteed either, even when you don't think you have a chance.
no subject
Yeah! How did they say it, change is the only constant in life and all?
no subject
Sounds like something Uncle would say.
no subject
Sounds like someone I'd easily become friends with.
no subject
There aren't many people who wouldn't. Uncle was a kind man.
no subject
[ Because color him curious. :O ]

[She almost starts with 'he used to be a general until his only son died in battle' but that seems depressing. She's trying to get away from her usual tendency to turn conversations depressing.]
He really liked tea. And pai sho.
A lot of people thought he was lazy. I did, too. But I think he just knew not to take things so seriously all the time. And he always had good advice when things were serious.
He was also an amazing firebender.

She was a fierce warrior - and one of Asahina-san's closest friends, too! She looked really scary, I'll admit, but... she was one of the most level-headed and the most honorable out of all of us.
[ Which makes her final fate all the more depressing, but he's not gonna be bringing that up anytime soon... ]
no subject
But he was honorable.
no subject
But I do know that he and Oogami-san would have gotten along just fine since they had similar personalities.
