Let the Festival Begin [Day 143 | Day 144]
Who: EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: Day 143 & 144
Where: All over the Bastion
What: The first two days of the Harvest Festival
Format Any
Warnings: None
For the past week or so, it may feel like to some that the Bastion is gearing up for something. And not anything bad, either. Something good and oh so needed. It's not just the people, the Caels and the Ura that are aware of what the coming days would mean if the world was still intact. It's like the very Bastion itself has suddenly gained new life, and there's a power over it that's greater than any person, creature or Core.
Anyone who is still awake as dawn breaks over the Bastion may find themselves inexplicably tired for no reason at all, and unable to give in to an intense need to close their eyes, just for a moment.
When everyone wakes, and I do mean everyone, the Bastion will be transformed. Decorations, lights strung across every angle, wreaths, tables with colorful cloths over them, streamers and banners and so much stuff just seemingly out of nowhere! The entire Bastion, suddenly a vibrant, beautiful place for a celebration. And not just any celebration.

Someone might be able to nudge the knight into trying it. ]

Oh, hello. I didn't realize you'd made it here, too.

[ The voice is the biggest difference, since the knight is sitting. That is most definitely not the same voice as that one in Vatheon. ]
... Sorry, I look familiar to you?
no subject
Well, I thought so... Do you maybe have a brother, you know, with a really deep voice?

[ It might be a little telling, the way the knight looks to see if anyone is around before studying the woman again. ]
... You've seen my twin?
[ It might be a painful hopeful note, before Duke pauses again, grimacing. ]
... but not here, huh. Dammit.

[It may not be as sincere as coming from someone else, but at least she thought to say it.]
He's probably only alive in some alternate universe where everything didn't get completely obliterated.
[Anya, no. You stop at "sorry."]

Somewhere is better than nowhere.
[ Maybe. The way Duke says that might indicate that... its hard to stay convinced of it being better. ]

Although I suppose I don't have any reason to think that.

[ Duke indicates nearly shoulder length ears, and "antennae" that extend from the back of the head with both hands. ]
They're not known for being terribly coordinated with colors.

I would never have known if Xander was body-snatched by one of these things.

Is your concept of "other worlds" still closer to faerie land?
