What: Remember that time Zulf said that thing about time travel? Yeah, Bon's been thinking about that too much.

[In the days since finding out that apparently Zulf and a few others have all experienced this before, Bon has been unusually quiet. He's been thinking way too much about the possibility of time travel, and the chance to go back and fix things.

But he's not sure if what he thinks is honestly the right choice, so. He's going to go around asking people. To get a general opinion.

So yeah on day 294 Bon will be approaching characters to ask them about it all.]

So what do you think, about this whole 'time travel' thing?

But what if that's what we're supposed to do? What if 'moving forward' means moving the entire world forward by stopping the Calamity entirely?

That's moving backward.

What if you go back, and whatever you do changes something that was meant to happen this way? What if it makes it worse?

Then we would break time by not going back to do it, wouldn't we?

[Time travel is confusing.]

What?

Well, say something bad happened in the past, and you went back to change it. But then you found out you caused that bad thing to happen in the first place.

That doesn't make any sense.

...you know, it really doesn't.

[He may have seen it in a movie once.]

... Anyway, what I mean is, even bad things have a place.

I think about the mistakes I've made. Like- [She hesitates.] Like when I betrayed my uncle. I've never regretted anything more than that. But if I hadn't done it, I wouldn't have learned my father's plans. The entire Earth Kingdom could have been destroyed, even before the Calamity.

That's just one decision that I made. The Calamity is huge. We don't know what we'd be changing.

[Bon actually hadn't looked at it from that angle before. Zuko might have a point.]

...hn. It wouldn't be worth it to try, unless we had a guarantee that it wouldn't make things worse.

I don't think that's something anyone could give.
