Day 289 - Who's that pokémon?

[Ibuki can be found chasing after a a certain pokémon, who's just flapping around and getting into all sorts of places and things]

Lita-chaaaaaaaaaan! Come baaaaaaaaaack!

"Nope nope nope! No booty! No booty!"

[And yes, the two will be taking a grand tour of the entirety of the Bastion, including building interiors]

[... and despite it looking like Ibuki's trying to get her chatot to return to her, she's being helpful and opening doors to places that would otherwise be inaccessible to the pokémon]

[He smiles down at Lita, and holds his hand out to her in offering, and greeting should she want to perch on it.]

[The chatot prods his beak against the hand, before hopping on]

Hey, hey, do the thing, do the in-tro-duction thing!

"Goddess of metal Lita-chan! Lita-chan!"

Yessssss!! That's you, Lita-chan!

[Ibuki pets the pokémon approvingly]

[It was morning. Later in the morning to be specific. What did this mean? That's right, Ippo was just finishing up his morning laps around the Bastion! Except this time, as he started to slow down, someone passed him for the first time in...well, ever, that he could remember at least. Or rather, a Pokemon. Ibuki's Chatot, Lita, if he remembered correctly. and there went Ibuki right after her Pokemon.

He was just going to...speed back up a little, just so he could keep pace with whatever was happening here.]

I'm guessing Lita-chan wanted some exercise today?

[Lita-chan circled back around so that she could greet Ippo]

"Popo-chan! Popo-chan!"

Ah! Ippo-chan! Yeah! Lita-chan is hyper today! She takes after Ibuki!

"No booty!"

[That got a small snrk out of him, though the change in breathing was quickly fixed and back to normal; it was the most important part of running sans moving your legs after all!]

Good morning to you too Lita-chan! I guess we're all having a family lap around the Bastion, huh?

[Look at that smile. Look at how genuine and happy this child looks right now. It's so heartwarming that your heart might melt if you leave it in for too long.]

Does that make Lita-chan our illegitimate child, Ippo-chan?

[Buildings inaccessible to Pokemon, you say? Like, perhaps, the cannery? Because that's where Jane is today, and she turns at the sound of an opening door and the very adamant, chattering Chatot.]

[The chatot flaps around, looking for a nice perch to land on]

Ah! Jane-chan, hello!

"Jane-chan!"

[There's several nice shelves waiting for canned and jarred goods that a Chatot could make herself snug in, as well as the handles for pot lids...but the shelves are definitely more out-of-reach.]

What are you doing? What's that bird...is it yours?

Yesss that's right, that's right, Jane-chan!

[The chatot perches on a pot lid handle near Jane]

"Jane-chan!"

Lita-chan, do it, do the in-tro-duction!

"Goddess of metal Lita-chan! Lita-chan!"

Chatot, the Music Note Pokémon. Chatot mimics the cries of other Pokémon to trick them into thinking it's one of them. This way they won't attack it. It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the same saying.

[That sure was a sudden synthesized Pokédex voice out of nowhere. Rob's standing nearby with a pair of Nirnroot plants in one hand and his datapad in the other. Don't mind him, he's just adding to his "Pokémon seen" count.]

[That sure was an odd voice that the chatot must investigate!! Which he does by circling over Rob]

Watch out, Lita-chan! It's Rob-chan: Destroyer of Ibuki's fun!!

"Kyaaaaaa~!"

Quick, hurry, use your laser attack!!

"Pew pew pew pew!!"

[... Yeah, no actual lasers, fortunately]

[Other than the faintest shift of his eyebrows, Rob acts like he didn't hear anything Ibuki said. He smiles at Lita.]

Hey little guy. Better be careful what you pew-pew at. You could hurt someone with those lasers.

"No booty! Rob-chan!"

[Ibuki pauses at that... the utter lack of reaction to what she had said. That, combined with her other previous interactions with Rob, made her come to a horrifying realization.]

[At the same time, the epiphany tugged at something in the back of her mind... but she didn't even know what it was. Something related to her missing memories?]

[Regardless, given her broken brain to mouth filter, well-]

Amazing... Rob-chan, you're like... everything that made home totally suck for me combined into one person.

[Well that sure is a Pokemon N hasn't seen in quite some time. He hasn't heard Hilda say anything about gifting new Pokemon eggs recently, so where in the world did it--

[the bird pokemon starts flying over to N and Zoroark to investigate]

[Wow way to offend Zoroark. Not that N is doing much in the way of standing up for himself. He's just watching the Chatot curiously.]

[AZ looks up at the sound, watching the two of them zoom towards him. Floette giggles at the pair, though she keeps an eye out so that they don't trample the flower AZ was tending.]

[He fishes around in his pockets and - yep! Have a berry, Lita-chan. Because apparently the '-chan' is just part of her name now.]

She steps out of her bedroom to meet Ibuki. (This just seemed like the easiest place okay.)]
