As was becoming slowly custom, Psii had gone off on his own to lay in grass and wander around a bit. Unlike other times, however, he's actually done something called "social interaction" and, well, that's just about changed everything for the plan today.

It's best demonstrated when he returns to the hive, glancing inside only long enough to make sure that Disciple is both there and awake.

Just for that, he's going to make her wait longer as he makes a big production of inspecting it- turning it all about, sniffing at it a grand total of 22 times, and generally just dicking around. Eventually...

She watches him for about thirty seconds before she catches onto his plan to simply dick around. While he spends his time being contrary for the sake of it, she inspects the flowers around her feet. They grow in little groups and are just big enough to make decent chains. They might be too big for crowns. Maybe. Pondering this, she picks a few more without waiting for his judgment.

"Oh really? Why thank you, oh worrywart."

Ugh. There's a flower when she just completely ignores him to gather more, even though he knows he was just being assholish, and he makes a small huffing noise.

"If you're going to be rude, I'm going to do what I want. Besides, you don't know any better than I do. Unless you took up lessons on flowers when I was out here on the Skyway."

She weaves a few flowers together and leans over to tuck behind Psiioniic's ear. Adorable. She grins and takes the first flow to tuck it behind his other one. He doesn't match but it's cute anyways.

After his momentary bewildered stare as the flowers balance precariously behind his ears, he draws his brows together to glower at her appropriately. This was a mistake. He should have asked the Emissary to go with him but no. He chose this jerk. As her reward in her efforts to make him cute, he draws his legs up to himself and turns away.

She breaks into giggles, trying to muffle it with her hand but it only made it more obvious. He was adorable. Adorable and annoyed and simply going to NEED to be wreathed in flowers.

"Hey, come on, it looks good! Yellow is your color!"

Yellow and green leaves. She needs something red this instant.

Yeah, he's still keeping himself faced away from her and being generally annoyed. They're supposed to be using these stupid dumb things to decorate some party, not decorate him.

She creeps backwards, trying to find a red flower anywhere nearby. There, like twenty yards away. It's the wrong size, like the palm of her hand, but it is the perfect red. She inches backwards slowly and calls out like she's not trying to dash away.

"I don't know, I think other colors look good on you too."

She makes a break for it and when she crosses the distance, she snatches up a red flower. She hides it behind her back and faces him expectantly.

There's an answer on the tips of his eyelashes, crackling and forming- and he'll be honest, it's a sex joke. There are times when things are too easy not to take the chance, after all. However, at the sound of her suddenly hauling ass, he twists around and narrows his eyes at the utterly innocent way she's staring at him.

He learned a long time ago never to trust that look, and it's a lesson he hasn't forgotten even with centuries passing.

Carefully, he starts to back up.

"I found more flowers over here!" She gestures with the hand not oh so casually held behind her back. The look on her face only gets more expectant. Wow Psiioniic aren't you going to come see?

She will come and get you so you can come see. Have no fear.

Yeah, you know what? No. Hell no. Hell fucking no. He only looks more wary, eyes narrowing.

Oh two can play at this game Psiioniic. She tucks the flower into her belt casually and lets her hand fall to her side as if she was merely adjusting the back of her belt.

Oh, she can't read it, huh? Let him just- enlarge that- for you then. There's now the equivalent of a large neon sign floating over his head as he replies.

Oh please. She blinks, wide eyed and innocent. She walks closer, shaking her head. She's getting closer Psii. Closer closer.

"Wait, what's bullshit? You're being ridiculous."

Bad feeling. Baaaaaaaad feeling. He floats further back with each step she takes, hunching up like if he's a ball that will somehow save him from whatever devious schemes cats come up with.

She takes bigger steps, walking even slower. He might be skittering back but she's still trying to gain back that space.

She's being loving, don't look at her like that.

At least he finally starts to lower himself, even in arms reach of her. The look he sends her is positively exasperated. All that ridiculous trouble for a flower.
