Day 266 | Open
Who: the red Anna, EVERYONE
Open: Open
When: 266, morning!
Where: Kitchen, donut trees
What: Anna is no longer 11
Format: Log, will follow
Warnings: ... Adorableness?
One of the benefits of being a Strain with the powers Anna has is that she knows things. Most of the time she knew where people were around her, what they were thinking. Sometimes it was about the world.
Like that she had been here long enough, combined with her time in Vatheon, that it should be December 8th again.
Well, for her at least. And it was a little after that, really, but the point was that Anna woke knowing that she wasn't 11 anymore. There was the core hunt, though, and talk of problems and Ura, and so it didn't really come to mind that maybe she could do anything until she spotted the donut trees again.
... Tatara had done something like this once, hadn't he?
Anyone near the donut trees and bushes will find Anna trying to collect a few into a basket. She is, however, a small child, and this isn't going to work very well. Mikoto the larvesta is sort of helping - his wagon is now occupied by a basket, so he's halfway up a tree and... eating leaves.
Or you can miss Anna collecting donuts, and find her having collected them, and sorting them onto plates in the kitchen. Donut breakfast. For as many people as she can. Mikoto is happily chewing through one that looks like Anna grabbed it a little too hard, buzzing lazily.

Near the donut trees
The incredibly colorful foliage of the plants in this area have proven mighty distracting, though. Jane wanders around the trees and bushes, eyeing their unusual fruits with caution. Were those donuts? No, they couldn't be! But there were so many kinds, and they look so real...
...And so did that strange and unusual creature clinging halfway up one of the trees, happily munching on multicolored leaves. She comes to a stop to stare at it.
"What in the world is that?" Jane asks aloud. She hasn't noticed that she's not exactly alone.

... Except for maybe some clarification."He is a pokemon called 'larvesta'."
no subject
A Pokemon, huh? She wants to ask if they're common to the Bastion, but that's not really a good question to ask when you see someone struggling. After all, that's just rude.
"Are you, erm, trying to get him down?" Jane asks. Her eyes flicker to the...possible donuts. "Or are you trying to harvest some of the, um, food?"

Anna goes back to standing on her feet, pointing at the round one just out of reach.
In fact, the basket in the little red wagon only holds assorted round donuts...

"Need a hand?" She'll ask what this is for in a minute, but she's not going to bother wondering about the pokemon. When some of them are shaped like keyrings, a giant bug eating leaves is nothing remarkable.
no subject
"A lot of the small ones are very high." Yes, she would like a hand.
And they probably aren't very high to anyone else.
no subject
Zuko was tall-ish back home, and though nothing remarkable here, she can certainly reach more of the donuts that Anna can't get to, and she does so, handing a few down.
"Are you collecting them for the Ura?" One-track mind right now. Mostly that keeps her from thinking about that awkward encounter with Aoi, but considering these are donuts... Well, that might not last.
no subject
She hadn't been, by her thought process.

Donuts for breakfast! Wait, that's not weird...
[He comes into the kitchen and heads straight for the fridge, only pausing when he sees Anna and Mikoto. And look, Mikoto's still eating.]
You know, Mikoto, you're going to fall right out of your cocoon if you keep eating this much.
[He diverts from the fridge to walk over to Mikoto and pet along his back.]
Good morning, Anna. Prepping some breakfast for everyone?
exactly what she was planning
Oh, but pets. Mikoto slows his eating to focus more on content buzzing. ]
Yes. [ More importantly- ] He needs to make a cocoon?
[ Mikoto you may be going on a diet soon. ]
Clever girl
[Yep, still petting little big firebug.]
Though, he's getting a little rotund. I think he's definitely eating more than well.
[He smiles over at Anna.]
This is very nice of you, thank you.
no subject
Happy buzzing bug. Ignoring that he's being talked about. ]
I wanted to do something, because Tatara would do things on birthdays.

Oh! Hello there.

[ Mikoto more or less ignores her. He watches a little when she first peers at him, but so long as she doesn't interrupt his donut feast, he doesn't care. ]
no subject
[Don't worry, Mikoto, she won't do that.]
no subject
[ All the donuts are ring or bismark donuts. Who knows why!
Gooood. Mikoto remains where he is, contentedly buzzing and chowing down on crushed donut. ]

And that was when she saw the little lady, arranging donuts on plates.
Her still sleepy brain was still trying to wake up, and took a few moments of her staring at the sight before her to put together a coherent enough string of words for this.
"Wha's the occasion?"
She was a little curious about that.
no subject
Anna looks the sleepy girl over, then goes looking for another plate.
Here, have a donut.
no subject
Oh.
Well.
Her birthday. It must be her birthday. Okay, that made sense. She didn't smile, but she did relax a little in her posture. That's the most you'll get out of her.
"Happy Birthday," she recited. She didn't sound that enthused. Sorry, Anna.
no subject
Here is your donut. "Thank you."
