Day 241 [Open] - The Starting Bell

The relative peace and quiet of the Skywalk is suddenly interrupted when a rather loud yell can be heard a short ways away.  Anyone who follows the sound will find a fairly tall man with black hair surrounded by a large group of squirts, some of which are clinging to his legs.  He doesn't appear to be hurt.  In fact, rather than fearful, the man looks to be enraged as he lashes out with his legs and fists at the small creatures around him.

"Get the hell off of me!  Oh you wanna piece of me too!  I'll crush every last one of you!"

It's fairly clear to anyone who is from the Bastion that this guy's a new arrival since his face isn't a familiar one.

Will you help him deal with the many small menaces surrounding him or continue to watch the show?

`...He wasn't entirely wrong.

"Ah so you ARE new, huh?" Calem sighed. He had a sinking suspicion that was the case but he really hoped not. Telling people about the end of the world was never a fun thing.

...Maybe he could kinda skirt around the topic and let someone else be the bearer of bad news.

"You're in the Skyway right now. It's pretty distasteful in all honesty. Lot's of junk and monsters about. Though clearly nothing you and your mega muscles are unable to handle," he managed not to laugh this time around, "As for how to get down... well you kind of need to climb, jump or other wise hop, or just hope you can find a stable enough crossing from floating island to floating island until you reach the Bastion."

Well, none of that really rung a bell, but it sounded like this Bastion was the place he needed to go so he nodded.

"Alright then, lead the way to the Bastion. Perhaps they'll be able to get me back. I gotta lot of important things to do."

Training to do, kouhais to torment, porn to read. The life of a champion has so many challenges.

"Certainly! I know this part of the Skyway like the back of my hand!" he grinned. A slight exaggeration. Gogoat was simply an excellent navigator. He made sure Gogoat was taking a slow enough pace so Takamura won't have too much trouble keeping up. Even so Gogoat seemed insistent on picking up the pace little by little when Calem wasn't paying attention.

"Though I'm not so sure there will be any getting back for you when we get there," he explained with a little reluctance, "I believe you may be here for good."

Takamura's roadwork usually consisted of running for miles with the coach behind him on a motorized scooter, so he should be able to keep up without too much trouble.

"What do you mean? If something brought me here, it should be able to take me back, right?"

"Ah yes well the thing about that is..." he winced a little. He was just going to have to lay it all out here, wasn't he?

"Say I didn't catch your name!" he could delay for a moment or two at least, "I'm Calem."

"Everyone just calls me Takamura." Well, everyone except family anyways, though there's none of them here.

"How far is this Bastion place?"
