Anya does not normally spend much time on the Skyway, but anyone might have noticed she's been going out more than usual over the past week. Sometimes alone, sometimes dragging certain Nobodies along because it is in their best interest.

The goal of all this? Safety and education. She is being awfully generous and using the resulting shards to buy a large quantity of condoms. Not just for herself, but for the Bastion's population of should-be-hormonal teenagers and the like.

If you look like you've been through puberty, Anya is liable to approach you. She's not going door-to-door or anything (she doesn't care that much), but if she sees you around the Bastion, better be prepared for a probably awkward conversation.

While he's still looking a little thinner than he was, Ryu's balance and injuries have been fully restored. With the right weapon picked out he's back in full form and ready to go. It's here Anya might find him with some light armor and sword strapped to his back, making his rounds around the Bastion before approaching the Skyway.

Yes, this looks like an eligible but very likely clueless young man.

"Hello!" Anya says cheerfully. "Do you have a minute before you head out? I have something important for you. Well, not really for out there but maybe for when you get back. Killing things does make some people horny."

[Rob has most definitely been through puberty. The 25-year-old is coming from the entrance to the Bastion drenched in sweat, despite wearing a tank top and cargo shorts. The backpack, round shield, longsword, and knife he's carrying probably have something to do with that. He's on his way towards the onsen, but it seems like there might be a bit of a delay...]

[Rob even appears as if he might be older than her, though there are only about two people in the Bastion who actually are and one of them is a dragon.]

Hey, hold on a second before you get all naked.

He pauses, turning away from the Skyway. He's about to offer Anya a friendly greeting before she begins talking. And then it dawns on him exactly what she's talking about.

"I have a minute before I head ou--..." And then he pauses.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Oh, maybe you aren't completely clueless." Anya recognizes that sudden awkwardness. She has seen it in many a conversation about sex.

She digs one of her many condoms out of a pocket and holds it out to him. "Here. Do they have contraceptives where you come from? Do you know how this works?"

"Uh... They probably did, but it's something I never looked into. I was focused on other things to worry about sex. I don't really see that changing anytime soon." That is to say he's trying to slip out of this conversation. His sexual knowledge is only good enough to know the vague motions, but he's completely lacking in any personal experience.

Anya is not about to let him go that easily.

"You can never be certain about that. You might unexpectedly find yourself caught up in the moment, and with that attitude you won't be prepared. Do you really want to do that to some poor girl?"

[Add that to the list of phrases Rob was never expecting to hear directed at him. He stops and looks over at Anya, one eyebrow raised, but waits for some kind of explanation before saying anything himself.]

Oh, I don't have a problem with you getting naked, I just don't want to follow you in there. That would require more effort and then you'd probably get the wrong idea about this.

[It's at this point that she pulls out a condom and holds it out to him.]

This is for you.

[Rob takes it silently, looks at it, blinks, turns it over, and looks at Anya again, eyebrow even higher. He knows what it is, and he's wondering if an explanation is going to be offered along with it or if he's going to have to ask.]

"I don't think I'll ever be in that position." He answers truthfully. Love isn't something he's given much thought to. He was focused on his personal journey first, and now he wants to be sure he can protect the Bastion.

"Protecting the Bastion comes before anything else. I'm not really the type of person that does... that." He adds. The way he says it isn't though as he's ashamed about sex or anything of the sort, he just genuinely thinks that it's unlikely to ever happen to him. "Your time might be better spent talking to someone else. I don't think love is really something I'm worried about right now."

Of course the idea only vaguely occurs to him that there were people out there a bit more informal about sex, but Syn City was but a distant memory at this point.

"Who said anything about love?" is, however, Anya's immediate reaction. "I'm talking about sex. I mean, sure, it can be even more enjoyable when you are in love, but it's hardly a requirement."

[Anya is briefly distracted from her mission by something else, however.]

Where are you girls getting the pink hair dye, is that from the Monument, too?

Rob's not mute, but his voice is pretty low when he does finally speak.]

That only works if we share a language. But I do know what a condom is, I'm just wondering why you're giving me one. If this is an invitation to have sex with you I'm going to have to decline.

[His eyebrow is still raised.]

[Anya folds her arms. Tread carefully.]

I already said I didn't want you to get the wrong idea. But if I were propositioning you, then why not? You don't think I'm attractive?

[Rob's hands go into his pockets and his eyebrow drops, his face assuming a blank and neutral expression.]

For starters, I've known you for less than a minute.

[Anya regards him skeptically for a long moment before finally shrugging.]

I guess that's an acceptable reason.

Anyway, the condom is because I want to be sure everyone knows we can get those kinds of supplies here. I know most people are too depressed or something to be enjoying the end of the world to its fullest, but whenever you get over that, you're prepared, and you can get more from the Monument.

I'd think that if the world's ended and we're the sole survivors then we'd want to have children so humanity doesn't go extinct.

When the women here want to have children, we'll have children.

There's no reason to let the situation force us into anything.

"I just thought the two always went hand in hand." As anyone can see, he's pretty innocent about all of this. "Wouldn't this be better saved with someone who actually intends to have sex at some point?"

Yeah, he's pretty uncomfortable at this point.
