What: No one died during the horrible plague scare! That's reason enough for a feast and a mingle log right?

[Someone has been busy today. The kitchen and Distillery has been noisy and bustling, a departure from the much more quiet days when the illness was spreading through the Bastion and survival was once more on the uncertain scale of things. Somewhere around the time that the night cycle begins, when the sky is more of an orange-ish glow fading in to blue and purple, a large spread of food has been set up near the Distillery with glass lanterns hanging overhead.

Just like any other time there has been a feast be it random or planned, there is a wide selection of food on the covered, decorated tables. There's even meat this time! And yes, Aoi, your doughnuts have been transferred from your trees to a platter on the table. There's even a section for Paar, complete with massive amounts of bbq'd mammoth meat! You can thank Colin for that.

There's really no announcement for the feast, but chances are if you're outside at any point today you'll see the progress towards the set up, or smell the delicious scents wafting over the Bastion. (There might even be music playing, if Colin finds a way to provide it!)

Either way, come dusk food will be ready and mingling will be had!]

It could. The festival was a nice surprise. Maybe somethin' like that will happen again.

Yeah. It feels like it's been a long time since then.

But it really hasn't been, has it? Time just... moves strangely here.

It feels a little more normal now that it's not day all the time. But it's still- hard to keep track.

It is. I managed to do it enough to figure out when my birthday was but... that was about it. After that I lost track again pretty quickly.

My birthday was just before I got here, but- I've been trying to keep a diary.

Really? Does that work? I've never kept a diary a day in my life.

It helps. Mostly- I just don't want to forget anything important.

I forget stuff all the time. I don't think a diary would help me any, though. I'd probably forget to write it down anyway!

[Roxas laughs a little at that.]

I've been doing it a couple years now. It gets to be habit.

Huh. I guess that makes sense...

[Rin scratches thoughtfully at her cheek, wondering if it's something she should actually give a shot.]

Maybe if you had somebody to remind you at first. You have a roommate or anything?

Well there's my boyfriend, Ryuuji... and my brother, Yukio. And we have my Tepig, Kintaro... and Yukio's Oshawott. Oh and there's also the snake demons from the Hojo family we rescued, but they're not always in the apartment. And the Hobgoblin, too.

... our apartment is a little crowded, actually.

Heh... it is. I mean it's takin' gettin' used to, Yukio bein'...

B-but. I kinda like it. It reminds me of bein' at the academy a little.

[Roxas kind of forgot about that because he's used to them both being boys.]

Academy?

You mean from your exorcist training?

[It's easy to forget that Rin is actually a girl even here. Just because she wears skirts doesn't mean she acts very feminine.]

Yeah. True Cross Academy. There was a regular school attached to the cram school that we all went to.

[Roxas doesn't know much about "feminine" besides wearing skirts and having "buttons."]

And you lived there?

Yeah, on the campus. There were dorms for the students since it was usually away from home for most of them.

I never really thought of there being schools like that.

[hellpyre]

[Rin shrugs a little]

Boarding schools usually need some kinda scholarship to get in to, or a really rich relative.

What's a scholarship?

When a group gives you money to go to school instead'a makin' you pay for it.

[He didn't know they cost money at all but that makes sense if you live there. It's like rent and stuff, right?]
