[OPEN] We're smiling all the same [Day 207]
Who: Ahime, anyone checking on her in the hospital
Open: Open
When: 207
Where: Hospital
What: The warrior has finally woken.
Format: Any
Warnings: Talk of impaling injuries
Being a Warrior of Atlantis, and the right hand of the Queen at that meant knowing your life was constantly going to be filled with risks. Their life expectancy was a tad higher than the average soldier due to their naturally imbued magic being higher than others due to what was passed on via genetics, but that didn't mean that there weren't those who fell in battle young. Entire Warrior lines had been wiped out in the past, and it was often considered a blessing if one passed on due to natural causes instead of something more violent.
When that house had exploded and Ahime had been impaled, she had thought this was finally her end, in a world away from her own with no Warrior to call kin near her. After all, no one but her had survived past the Calamity. She saw it as going out valiantly if she took herself and her injury to battle with the Ura men that were trying to stop them from getting the cure for their friends. At least then she would have been reunited with her family and friends.
But then she had been grabbed and... that was it. She didn't recall anything beyond that point.
Waking in the hospital had been surprising, and she lay there staring at the ceiling breathing in and out slowly for a long moment before a tired, hoarse laugh escaped her.
"Even now, you're looking out for me, aren't you... ?" she asked to no one in particular, lifting an arm to drape it over her eyes. "What a cruel joke..."

To that end, he was dead asleep in his chair when Ahime woke up, the sudden voice breaking through his light slumber and causing him to flail around as he was startled awake...and onto the hospital floor with a loud thump.]
Ssssss...owwwww....Ahime, are you awake?
[He said, wincing slightly as he rubbed where his backside had hit the floor.]
no subject
I feel like I should be asking you the same question.
no subject
Heh...sorry about that. Is there anything I can get you now that you're awake though? Food or maybe some new pillows?
[He wasn't much a doctor, but if there was anything he could do to make Ahime more comfortable, he could at least move fast.]
no subject
[He was the one falling all over himself, after all.]
No, thank you. I'm... fine right now.
no subject
I'm glad you're awake. You...looked really rough, when I got here two nights ago. I know you're strong but...
[He couldn't have helped feeling worried for his friend, friends were all he really had now and he wanted to keep it that way for as long as was humanly possible.]

"...do you want me to get anyone?" She didn't catch Ahime talking to herself, but from the way she's lying, Zuko wonders if she's in any pain.

"I'll be fine. ... I think. Thank you, though."
no subject
"All right. Just let me know. Most things around here are more advanced than I'm used to, so- they must have something they can give you."
no subject
"I wouldn't want to impose on the young doctor. That said... how is everything here?"
no subject
"Everyone's pulled through. You're the one we were worried about."

Day 208
He steps into the room, not wanting to wake her if she's asleep. It seems to be his MO when it comes to hospital patients. Step in quietly to check on them, and try not to disturb them.

Just as Colin is about to leave, though, she starts to rouse again, wincing and groaning at the pain in her stomach.
no subject
"I think I need to talk to Rosethorn and Seimei about getting some Morphine," Colin says gently, shaking his head before giving her a smile. "I'd ask how you're feeling, but I think that's rather self-evident. But hey, you're still with us. You had everyone worried sick."
no subject
"A warrior's death would have been a noble one..."
no subject
He smirks slightly, and he looks over. "I'll tell you what my sister tells the headstrong Mrrshan who say the same thing," he tells her. "A warrior's death is noble, but limited. A true warrior's death comes after a life of victory and meaning."
His smirk widens then. "But if you want to debate the afterlife, you're clearly feeling cooped up," he adds, reaching out to pat her. "Do you need anything?"

NPCs talking to NPCs
She doesn't mind that, right?
"Yo, Ahime~"
NPC-ception :O
She's a bit groggy upon waking, though, so there's little more than a tired noise and a turn of her head at Zahi's arrival in the room.
We need to go deeper
"How're you feeling?"
Let's not and say we did
That got an answer at least.
it's an inception quote ;_;
Before he speaks again, though, he smiles a little. "Though I gotta admit, it was admirable, how you got up and kept going even when you were hurt like that. You're pretty tough."
I know that :V
OH good |D
There just doesn't need to be any further NPC-ception
No clearly we need all the NPCs in here
Wow no that would be so awkward
Everyone talking at once. Except for the baby.
The baby that still has no name
The baby's name is Junior, remember?
Is it really? ... that seems like such a copout xD
Nah, it's just a placeholder until we think of something better.
okay good. ... we should do something about that. some time.
Eventually, yeah. ....we could do popular vote for the baby name.
There we go, put it on everyone else xD
yep
