WHAT: The cure has been found and administered. Check up on the sick, why don't you?
WHERE: The hospital

WARNINGS: Recovering people, probable sass, and of course, Colin.



After six days of paranoia, and three days of absolute terror, things were finally looking up. A cure had been delivered, and with it, the calamity survivors had been able to synthesize more than enough doses of cure for the plague to safeguard the Bastion. It had been administered to the sick, and now all that was needed was to make sure that everyone recovered.

Colin, of course, was going to be visiting everyone to make sure that there weren't any complications. It wouldn't do to have anyone in danger after they'd made it through to the end. He had yet to take off his environmental suit though, his own paranoia was significant.

(OOC: I figure this will be a good opportunity for people to do a little more mingling, and get their bearings after the plague. The quarantine has been lifted, though Colin still wants people washing their hands frequently. If you want Colin to check up on the sick, he can do that! If you want someone else to check up on the sick, by all means! The threat is passed, now rejoice, hug your sick loved ones, and let's move on!)

[Now that being infected comes with a more solid assurance of not dying from it, Anya is perfectly happy to play nurse for the recovering sick people. Surely they must appreciate her bright smile and words of comfort after their ordeal.

Anyone she checks in on is liable to receive an awkward shoulder pat and some variation of:]

It's good that you aren't dead yet.

Are you only saying that because if I died, you'd have to find someone else to take to bed?

[Squint. Saix isn't the worst of the patients by far, and with the cure gotten, well, he's certainly recovering and not as bad as he could be. Still not in his usual top shape, however, which is why he's still laying down in bed.]</

The most comforting thing anyone has ever said to me.

[What does it say about his life that that statement is sort of true?]

I could be throwing up along with the fever, so clearly not as bad as it could be. [He lets his eyes close. The world is kind of dizzy and shitty right now.] I'm also not in the worst stages, so that helps.

[And Anya just smiles, look at her, she's being comforting.]

And I'm here, that should help, too. Can I get you anything?

Mm. A glass of water. Anything more than that I'll make someone else do.

So do you enjoy ordering other people around or are you just afraid you're going to owe me things?

I do like ordering people around, actually. I also let people off easy if I like them.

I mean, I spent a long time in service to the wish, but I had a lot of creative leeway.

Many saw me that way, yes. But I did it to end the war. It was more localized... just destruction to my region, but it was... fairly devastating.

And no. They didn't. I abdicated my throne.

[Well, he was never actually sick and had only decided to take a nap since taking care of sick people is hard, but the sentiment is appreciated. Although...]

The "eye thing" is the poor attempt at replacing the piece of my skull that went missing between my death and resurrection. I find it rather fortunate that the eye itself is still my own.

That said, congratulations on your own escape from the tedium that is being dead.

That is fortunate. Eyes can be tricky.

As for me, I don't really remember the being dead part. I'm just glad whatever science or magic that brought me back saw fit to restore my body to one piece, without any ugly scarring.
