He knew that memory loss was what befell human contractors, but that had never hit one of them before if a contract was severed. Being an aspect of nature given form and sentience helped a lot in having them never forget such things like the humans who helped to give them personality and purpose as they used them to do what they were meant to do. Yet, for once the Seiryuu clan member was at a lost of how he ended up in a place that looked but didn't feel at all like the place of demons. Even the few creatures he had seen as he had ran towards the only city he could see were and were not like the demons and creatures that he had been created to fight.
He likely would find out what that was all about whenever he found Masaomi again. He had to be around somewhere because the contract was still there, wrapped around his being and linking him to his Toujinshi. For now there was a city to look through. For now he was just going to slowly give himself a tour of the city, his spear Gekiringa held loosely in one hand with the butt end lightly tapping the ground now again as he walked. Not caring at all at any odd looks he would get being an almost six foot bipedal, blue dragon like creature.
"Ne, Masaomi, it's hard to play hide and seek if you don't know who is supposed to be hiding you know."

"Ne, Masaomi, it's hard to play hide and seek if you don't know who is supposed to be hiding you know."

"Looking for someone?"

Normal beings and people would be a bit more confused or worried showing up in a place like this the way he had, but the nonchalant stance and humor in the tone as he speaks doesn't make it seem like anything is out of the ordinary.
"Of course if there's some weird food place around here the search could be over quickly miss."
no subject
"My name is Zuko." Being called 'miss' just doesn't sound right. "Do you have any idea where you are?"
no subject
He bows for a moment in greeting when she introdeces herself.
"Kibachiyo of the Seiryuu, at your service. Ne have you seen or heard of a guy named Masaomi here hopefully?"
no subject
"I can show you the distillery if you think he'd be after food, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. The situation here is pretty bleak."
no subject
That statement would likely make more sense to the one he's talking to if he actually explained why he's not actually worried if Masaomi isn't here at all. Ah well, one day he may explain things to people fully.Until then, there's a slight disconnect as the calm and laid back attitude he was giving off changes to a more serious feeling for a moment.
"Bleak in how nothing natural is in balance and the earth feels shattered?"
Because that feeling had been one of the first things to register and the drawback from such felt quickly in his ability to draw energy from the earth as he normally would.
no subject
"Yeah..." she says slowly, then: "Are you a spirit?"
She's never considered before that someone from the spirit world might make it here, but it must be possible. It wouldn't really be like having someone from home, and she expects him to disprove it pretty quickly, but... it's worth asking.
no subject
"Got it in one. Though not sure how much only one nature spirit would help in this place."
no subject
"So does that mean..." She hesitates. How much do the spirits even know about the human world? "Do you know about the Four Nations, and the Avatar?"
no subject
It was a possibility considering how humans liked to name and rename things through the centuries.
no subject
She lets out a sigh. "Sorry. People come here from a lot of different worlds, and I thought... maybe ours were connected. I guess not." They don't even have demons where she comes from.
no subject
Because Demons back home don't exactly have the right physiology for that. He hopes not because those would be really ugly halfbreeds.
"You never know they could be and the way was never found. The Fukumaden is funny like that when it warps reality." He's trying to be helpful. Is it working?
no subject
"...I don't think it matters anymore. My world is gone, so there's nothing to find."
no subject
"Now, now that's being a bit pessimistic thinking there. If you stop looking you'll never find anything and not all things can be seen with physical eyes."
He should know, he spends most of his existence only being seen by a few select people.
no subject
"I've seen fragments of my world out there, and fragments of other worlds, and I've seen the dead statues on them. I'd be lucky to find even one person left alive besides me, and so would you."
no subject
"That's the entire point of luck though isn't it? Good or bad you never know how it will fall until it does. Not even spirits can change such aspects of life. Doesn't mean you can't hope though."
