[Day 194] Hello world... how you been? [OPEN]
Who: The Pokemon Daycare people, some Pokemon eggs and you!
Open: Open!
When: Day 194
Where: Pokemon Daycare
What: It's finally time for more eggs to hatch
Format: Any
Warnings: N/A
[Bit by little bit, trip by trip out to those shattered remains of the world that once held hundreds upon hundreds of Pokemon, eggs were being located and brought back to the Bastion, coming under the care of an ornery Ditto and the newly designated "daycare couple".
The last time eggs had been hatched was after the festival when N, Hilda, and AZ had all received an egg each as gifts, so it was finally time for the first true arrivals from the Skyway locations to hatch.
Of course N had been preoccupied with Hilda after her injuries, and it wasn't until he was outside getting the other Pokemon fed that he realized some of those eggs were starting to move.
Woobat let out an excited noise at seeing them and quickly fluttered over, joined soon by Zoroark who was nudging the eggs with his snout in hopes of encouraging the baby Pokemon inside.]
Oh... they're hatching... !

There's four eggs shaking right now, but N shakes his head to the second question.]
They can usually get out on their own. It's going to be... Sewaddle, Tirtouga, Cottonee, and Solosis.

[ She's leaning forward enough to watch, ears perked higher than usual while she does. There's enough space between O'danya and the eggs to give them room to hatch, but she's far too curious to not give it all of her attention. ]

[He had borrowed Hilda's Pokedex for this, figuring it would be good to have on hand for the new ones. He tugs it out of his pocket and flips it open, lifting it up so it can scan Zoroark.
After that, a voice speaks from the device.]
Zoroark, the Illusion Pokemon. Zoroark can create illusions that are indistinguishable from reality, deluding many people simultaneously. It can even create illusory landscapes in the forests where it dwells, to hide its territory and protect its den.
[Zoroark let out a chuff at that, giving the two of them a sharp toothed grin.]
There are-- were well over 600 known Pokemon breeds in our world, and more being discovered every day. Each Pokemon breed had a different name, but in any given location there could be many of that breed alone, such as Zoroark and Zoura living in packs, Onyx living in caves, Swablu and Altaria in forest and lake areas...
[N waves the hand with the Pokedex in it around a bit as he explains.]
I've heard of trainers giving their Pokemon individual names, but it's not a common practice. Most simply call them by their breed name.

How impersonal. It would be insulting if I only called you hyur, or you called me miqo'te, wouldn't it?
no subject
That's just how it's always been. Think of it this way - in the wild, an animal would simply be an animal. Between them they may have their own methods of telling one another apart, be it by name or some other means, but to another human who cannot understand their thoughts and hearts they're simply animals. Wonderful animals but still separated by that language barrier.
It is the same with Pokemon. While many humans catch and train them, the majority remain in the wild throughout their entire life. Pokemon that are with trainers may express that they want their own names, but most are content enough with what they are known as.
[Sorry O'Danya. You did want an information drop with what you said right?]

Because it doesn't make a difference to them? Is that what you mean?
no subject
Exactly. They don't concern themselves with titles.
