Three days ago, Colin introduced his new buildings to the Bastion. This morning, the lab's work had finally come to fruition. Colin brought a slab of skillet-ready bacon to the kitchen, first thing in the morning. The kitchen was freshly upgraded, how fitting it would be to have it broken in with fresh meat?

Rin had been apprehensive at first. Artificial meat couldn't be good, could it? But that apprehension seemed to melt away gradually like so much fat off of sizzling meat as the bacon cooked.

So, when everyone shows up for breakfast, there's a giant serving platter loaded down with bacon to go along with the rest of the breakfast for the day.

Go nuts, everyone.

[And it was never worth getting breakfast food at the mall. No one there ever did breakfast well.]

The lack of opposing digits, to say nothing of hands, does lend extra difficulty to common tasks, certainly.

Still, I don't think you'll need to worry about that now. With everything out at the farm, we should have plenty of food for quite some time.

Have you been briefed on the Monument's functions, yet? Such things can be brought here, for a price.

Sort of. The problem is carrying shards back. Again, thumbs are kind of useful.

How much weight can you carry?

[Colin's studying him, now. This is a problem that can be solved with engineering!]

Hmmm... you want my belt pouch, then? It's a gift from the gods here. It can fit lots of items, no larger than palm-sized, with no weight at all other than the weight of the bag.

[... He ducks his head, flushing a little.]

I don't want to take something of yours without paying you back.

I can lift almost a ton, and I can carry over a thousand pounds with ease. A belt pouch that can hold a couple of pounds of stuff without weight isn't going to do make or break any of my work, and it sounds like you could use it.

Don't worry about paying me back. The situation we're in, we need all the advantages we can get.

[He looks at Colin a little curiously. If he is a Chee - no, but he'd been handling weapons, so he can't be.]

[Colin grins, and he reaches down to unbuckle one of this three belts. He sets it down in front of Tobias, then, and he grins.]

It's all yours, now. We can see about getting it resized if you need, but since you can shift forms, it may be best to just alter it so you can use it in one form or another in any form.

If you can do that, it would be really helpful. I'm not exactly good at those kinds of things. I can make a good scout, though.
