[Day 182] Boys and girls it's time to look ahead [OPEN]
Who: Everyone!
Open: Open
When: Day 182
Where: Skyway
What: More places have arrived, and one of them is coming with a little extra
Format: Any
Warnings:Talk of blood re: Hope's Peak Academy location
[There really seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why these places are showing up, nor does there seem to be any set schedule. Days can pass between the next sighting, or they can be one right after another. Either way, it's keeping the Bastion survivors on their toes.
As the announcement goes out yet again that there are more places to explore, Zayna admits something strange: she thinks she saw something moving about at one of the locations. She can't be completely sure, though, and more than once place so far has had something potentially dangerous in it - so be careful, she warns. Now more than ever they need to be careful and diligent...]

no, but seriously, considering the last thing he remembers is a noise in the gymnasium he's gonna think Monobear blew up the school or something
who's willing to help calm the guy down once he's found alive

SO TO EVERYONE ELSE, discussion has happened on Plurk too, and Paar and Patchy'll be coming along, too! So there's still totally room for one or two more people to come along and poke around murderschool and meet Naegi.

Hilda has pokeymans. Polka has offensive and healing abilities on the skyway. Both girls would be a valuable asset to your team! Get 'em while they're hot! /waves a flag or something!

[He also announces if anyone wants to come along, they have ten minutes.]
[That's as long as he waits before he takes off towards the Skyway with his Berserker in tow as always. There's no real attempt at conversation from the stoic man. It's only when the faint lights of the skyscraper are visible in the distance does he actually give pause.]
...Be careful of shadows here.
[Is it said simply 'shadows' or 'Shadows', as if that means something more? Both, likely. Things were always strange down in the city, the place they separated themselves by that floating castle that never deserved to exist.]
[Slowly, the fragments drawn to their feet become less grass and earth, turn into asphalt and concrete that's still slick with rain that's no longer falling. There's a few fragmented pieces of buildings about, but the main thing is the large road that slowly forms. And in its center... Memory's Skyscraper, although it no longer towers proudly above them all. Instead, it's been snapped in half. A good chunk of its middle is who knows where, but the top portion with all its many screens is still there. Somehow, just like the bottom is still brightly blaring neon, the screens are still flickering even though a good chunk of them are cracked.]
[The shadows here really do seem to twist strangely in the light... Maybe that's just the flickering affect of the skyscraper, or something else entirely.]

At least until Saix purposefully sought him out, told him to "get over it" and come with him. Argument ensued, of course, but by the end of it Frederic was worn down in to joining the Nobody on his trek out to the Skyway.
But he still didn't want to be there, and he trailed behind Saix with an irritated scowl, barely acknowledging the comment about shadows.
At least until they arrive there, at which point Frederic's irritated silence turns in to stunned silence. What in the world is this place... ?]

It's that thought that gets him to come rather than any real desire to go there, because the memories it calls up for him are unpleasant. But if Axel saw it-- it's a long shot, like everything is turning into the more time passes, but he has to try.
Once they arrive, though, he finds himself staring, too.]
It looks so... different.
[Somehow, he'd expected the perpetual night and rain that ruled the World that Never Was to carry over here. He's never seen the place with this kind of clarity, ruined though it is. It's like stepping into a dream.]

[ If Tris was right, though, those scribbles might have been part of "touchstone". ]
I'm going here. Anyone else?
[ Chime is particularly intent on going there, going so far as to snatch the sketch and fly around with it. ]

DEPARTURE
It could be a person there! There might be someone over there! We've gotta go right now, right now!

It may also be something more dangerous... We must take care, Zosiilkoz. I could go with you, if you wish.

ARRIVAL (inevitable DR spoilers herein, eventually)
There it is!
[The side of the building—or what's left of this part of it—is in sight, and Aoi sprints across the rising ground towards it without much regard for how the others are keeping up.
As soon as the Skyway brings her before the front of the school—that isn't right, either, though; the actual front is gone, and the side walls border an open hallway ending in a pile of debris.]
I knew it! This is definitely Hope's Peak!
[...Wow, she forgot how much this place gave her the creeps, though. Her face scrunches up in distaste just looking into it: barricaded windows, too much dust, not enough space...
So instead of going in just yet, without a word to her poor travel companions, Aoi sprints off to the side and starts a lap around the building instead.] Yoooohooooooo! Anyone out there?!
no subject
Doesn't seem like a very good name for it. [Patchouli immediately notices all of that dust. She adjusts her dress to cover up her face.]
It looks like it's been completely neglected for years.

SUDDENLY A WILD NAEGI HAS APPEARED...
It had all happened far too quickly for him to process; one moment he'd been rushing over with the others to the gymnasium to investigate the commotion, and then the next minute a blinding light before he awoke in Hope's Peak again, except pretty much everything was destroyed. What the hell did Monobear even do?!
... no, no, he couldn't focus on that right now. Right now, he had to focus on figuring out what happened and, if anything, see if anyone else had survived. It was really the only thing he could do at the moment.
Which is why he's been wandering around Hope's Peak for the last several days, trying to find any signs of life amidst the rubble of the former academy... but the surrealism of both the destruction and the unending void that was around him... it freaked him out, to say the least, but he couldn't just give up now. Surely there were others who were alive, right...?
Being lost in his thoughts, he didn't even hear the commotion from Aoi and the others upon arrival, and instead was looking around Leon's execution room for anything he could use for... something, he wasn't even sure what he was planning.
He's obscured enough behind some rubble that the others won't notice him right away, but they'll be able to hear his movements... what do you do? ]

Well...] See? We're through. Honestly, I'm surprised that that worked so well. We should probably still be careful, though. The ceiling should still be fairly solid, but...
...I know for a fact that I heard something moving around. With any luck, it'll be friendly, but that doesn't mean we should let our guard down. You all heard it, too, right?
