Day 164 | Open
Who: Red Anna and Anyone
Open: Open
When: day 164
Where: About the bastion
What: Anna has a camera and no way to play the video. She also knows what happened
Format: do as you like
Warnings: She's adorable, and likely to induce feels by accident C:
After talking to Zulf, Anna got confirmation to what she thought had happened - Rin had been hurt, she had noticed that, but Night... Well, that was the explanation for the definite lack of feeling that she had come to associate with the other girl.
Which means that there's going to be another funeral. There would be no Mikoto to make sure of no blood, no bone, no ash remaining, but that wasn't what bothered her most. She had her camera, and she'd been doing her best to make sure she had some of everyone. Memories, the way Tatara would keep them.
The problem was, she couldn't play them. And Tatara had been right, she thought, because happy memories needed to be kept. She was sure she had some on here.
So Anna decides, after sleeping, to find anyone who looked like they might come from a world where video was possible (the time in the bubble proved that not all worlds had video)... or maybe anyone who just looked like they didn't come with the Bastion.
Someone had to know how to get the video off the camera.

She watches for a moment, then reaches to tug slightly on her sleeve.

Anna holds up her camera. See, no spot to watch the recording on it.
no subject
... Though she's not totally sure if that one can even be connected to a computer. "If it's just film though then you need a projector to put it into."
no subject
"... I think it might be that old, that it needs a projector." Is that the name for what they used to watch them last time? Probably. "... Then I don't know where to find one of those..."
no subject
"Maybe ask Colin? He seems like the kind of nerd who would be able to figure something out."
no subject
He doesn't seem to notice that Anna's there.
no subject
And he's still busy with something. Its a bit of a careful habit that has Anna stepping over, still behind him to wait until both hands are empty before reaching for his sleeve.

Colin glances back at her and smiles warmly at her.

But now that he's giving her attention, she can ask her question. "Are you good with cameras?"
no subject
He sets down his tools and turns to face her fully. At her question, he cocks his head, and he smiles. "Many cameras are different, but I can work with most of them," he tells her. "You've got something on a camera, I assume?"
no subject
"I have memories of Night. And I think they ought to be shared, but I can't share them, because I don't know how to watch them."
no subject
He can certainly appreciate what she wants to do, and he's moderately certain he could come up with something. But first, he needs to know what he's working with.
no subject
"It was Tatara's. I don't know, other than he said it was 'old fashioned'." But the standard technology of their world is ... interesting, so she doesn't really know. "I remember when we watched them, they came in round tins."
It is film, Colin. What do.
no subject
"This is very interesting," he says finally, holding the camera back out to her. "There are a couple things you can do if you want these memories preserved and playable for everyone. If you can wait a day or so, I can probably put together some sort of player, but I'll have to get some special parts from the scrapyard first. Otherwise, if you've got Shards, or if you know anyone who has shards to spare, I can show you how to bring in an old fashioned vid display unit."
He pauses, regarding the camera again, and he laughs. "Really old fashioned. I'll draw up something good, now that I think about it," he adds. "Whatever you choose, I'll be happy to help. It's a very nice thing you're doing."
no subject
"I can ask about shards. Maybe someone will give me enough for one of the pieces you are looking for, but not for the... display unit?"
no subject
He's not the least bit worried, or even apprensive about his ability. A film projector is easy, and they've already got speakers. Anna will have her film with very little trouble at all.
no subject
Mind you, that's just because she doesn't have Mikoto, or anyone else from HOMRA. She would follow them out if they were here.
But here is a smile, Colin, because you do seem busy and you're going to help her anyways. "Thank you. ... Do you need my camera to stay with you for a little bit?"
no subject
He smiles then, and waves off her question. "I've got all I need from that camera, for the moment. You can keep it with you," he says. "I'll come and get you when the player is ready for you, and we can get it all set up then."
