[Day 153] I understood the meaning of love... [OPEN]
Who: Rin and YOU!
Open: Open
When: 153, afternoon
Where: The Gazebo
What: The past few days have been difficult, but Rin is in a surprisingly good mood today. Apparently that's enough to warrant randomly singing??
Format: Starting in action, but I'll folow
Warnings: Rin being Rin is a given by now.
[The past few days had been a whirlwind of emotion. Some good, some bad, but all of it actually fairly exhausting. In it, though, Rin had gotten out some much needed things that had been bottling up for some time, and in a stark contrast to the anger that had nearly destroyed the kitchen, she found herself in a surprisingly good mood this day.
Like. Really good mood.
Good enough to apparently sing. Which she didn't do very often at all. Sometimes she could be caught humming a song while working, but actually singing something?
Well, she did used to be in the church choir growing up, so it wasn't that far fetched of an idea. But it had been years since then, and her voice was a little out of practice.
Still, something about that good mood compelled her to make her way over to the gazebo where the piano was. She couldn't play (Yuki could, but even she had fallen out of practice with that in recent years, too) but she knew enough to strike a note and start from there. She wasn't singing to anyone in particular, and the song that came out of here surprisingly wasn't a church hymn.]
Kuon no shijima yagate sora ni
aoku aoku tokete nijinde
mahiru no tsuki no usui kage wa
sugu ni sugu ni mirai wo yobu...
[It didn't quite sound the same without some accompaniment, but she still got rather in to it. Enough that she probably wouldn't notice if some one stopped to listen...]

You can HELP without offering yourself up on a platter just because it looks like there's a chance things might go wrong! Use your head for once! Try and think about the others around you!
no subject
I do think about them! Every day! Every time they come back hurt! What the hell is your problem?!

[The words come out high and strangled before Zulf snaps his mouth shut, his nails digging into the back of his other hand. For a moment he just stands there, trembling slightly, before forcing his hands to relax. He can't get his eyes to wipe themselves clean of that desperate pained look, however.]
...I'm going to go now. Do as you please.
[With that, he turns around and starts to hurry off as fast as he can without making it any kind of run.]

Zulf-- Zulf!
[No, nope, fuck that, you're talking about this. Rin is faster than you, Zulf, and she can catch you easily.]
What happened?! Tell me!
no subject
It's nothing. He's going to come back. He can handle it.
no subject
Who?

Oh god...

[It's snapped out and Zulf finally turns to glare at her- although the effect is weakened by the fact that the start of tears are beginning to gather.]
He's gone through worse than this, the Skyway is just unpredictable, he'll come back.

Kid did sound tough, probably as tough as her, maybe more, but...]
Then... then why are you crying... ?
no subject
[Which... is technically not a lie. Sure his eyes are stinging and his throat feels like it's trying to choke him out of its own accord, but he's not crying.]
[Not yet, at any rate.]
no subject
[But she lets go, hand falling to her side.]
I didn't know... I'm sorry...
no subject
...He is coming back. If he doesn't in the next few days, I'll track him down again. I've already done it twice before.

[We'll see how long that lasts.]

[Now he feels even more tired than before.]
I... need to go smoke. Excuse me.

[And she just... feels horrible again.]
