Day 138 ;; Open
Who: Princess Mopesalot Zelda and OPEN
Open: Open
When: Day 138
Where: the Memorial
What: Zelda is paying her respects and being lost in thoughtagain
Format: Action
Warnings: Zilch
--
[ Zelda had finally left the hospital a couple days ago and taken her scant belongings to one of the empty apartment rooms instead. Rather than lay abed for the entire day, Zelda was forcing herself to develop some sort of daily routine. It began when the cloudiness of "nighttime" subsided, at which time Zelda went to the memorial to pray. ]
[ There were no relics related to Hyrulean religion for Zelda to pray to, but she prayed anyway, kneeling solemnly. After her prayers, she sat on a wooden bench and began to write in a blank diary she had picked up at the Lost and Found. Anyone who sees her writing will be unable to read such a strange language. ]
[ Please interrupt her, whether during prayer or while she writes. ]

Usually when she came here, she didn't see anyone. Today, though, there was a woman on a bench. Given the nature of this place, meeting the new people that arrived here generally seemed to be a good idea. With this in mind, she approached the new woman, stopping a bit short of her with a smile.
Introducing herself was always awkward, no matter how many times she had done it ... ]
Uh ... hi.
[ That was lame. So lame. So very lame. God Hilda, be more socially awkward. ]

Good day. [ She inclined her head politely in greeting. Silence fell briefly as Zelda wondered what to say. Amazing how one's skills of conversation fade so quickly with disuse. ]
If you wish to pray privately, I will take my leave. [ She offered politely. ]

[ Hilda wanted to slap herself. That sounded kind of ... how to say it? Disrespectful? Ignorant? Wrong. Something like that.
She facepalmed at herself instead. ]
I just ... I wanted to say hello. We're all in this situation together, right? I thought it might help to get to know the people I'm here with.

[ She found that she didn't have to try very hard. For how nervous the girl seemed, her words were wise. ] I suppose we are. [ Zelda admitted gently. ]
[ It was not something she had thought much about in the week she had been here. So lost within her own grief, Zelda had given little attention to anyone else. ] I .. did not realize.
no subject
... May I sit down next to you?
no subject
It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, miss. [ She said with a polite smile. ] I am Zelda, P- [ A split second's hesitation. ] -Princess of Hyrule.
[ She wondered briefly if that was still the proper way to introduce herself. She was, for all rights and purposes, a princess in name only now. ]
no subject
My name is Hilda. It is a pleasure to meet you ... ah ... Your Majesty?
[ How does I princess? She sits down next to her, shifting a little in her seat. ]
no subject
Just 'Zelda' will suffice, Miss Hilda. [ She said gently. ] I suppose my title holds little meaning anymore.
no subject
[ Regardless of the insistence that she could be referred to as just 'Zelda,' Hilda had always been taught to treat her elders with respect. While Zelda didn't seem to be too much older than her, she was still older. ]
Have you been here for very long, Ms. Zelda?
no subject
About six days, I believe. I do not know what constitutes as 'long' here.
no subject
Not as long as others, but long enough to know what's up at least.
no subject
What do you mean, what is 'up?'
no subject
Ah, I mean ... you sorta know what's going on here? Like. Um. You've ... been informed of why we're here and all that.
[ Awkward Tirtougaaaaaa ]
no subject
Japanese?Unovan?girls' speech. ]Ah. Yes, I have heard, more or less. [ She shakes her head. ] Although the answers aren't to my liking.
no subject
It's not really to the likings of any of us, really. It's not good news for anyone.
[ She takes a deep breath. ]
I ... don't know what's become of my own home, really. N and I crash landed here from another world known as Vatheon.
no subject
[ Zelda quirks an eyebrow. ] You have traveled to other worlds before?
no subject
[ Y e a h she spent quite a bit of time in the hospital after that. ]

no subject
[ There really was no better way to say it. ]
It did some good, though. It helped me find someone I was looking for.
no subject
When you first arrived in Vatheon, how did you adapt? [ It's the question she's been struggling with since she arrived in the Bastion, among many other difficult questions. ]
no subject
[ She shifts a little in her seat, uncomfortably. ]
I don't know. It was hard. Even though I found N, and I was really happy about that, I also found that one of my best friends was there, but ... she didn't remember me. She told me she had grown up alongside a guy named Hilbert. Bianca is really nice, though, so she tried to be nice about the whole thing.
I think I was able to get through all of it because of N, if we're being honest. I don't know how he adapted, but ... he was able to get me through it somehow.
[ It's pretty obvious that she thinks the world of her boyfriendo, despite their past. ]
no subject
Forgive me, I suppose it was a strange question to ask. There is much I still do not understand.
no subject
We can figure them out together, though, right?
[ If everyone here was stuck in this world, then they'd have to figure out how to keep surviving together. They'd have to make discoveries and learn new things together. Hopefully, things would be a little easier with so many of them ... ]
