[Colin has been positively hyperactive today. He wolfed down his breakfast like a man possessed, snagged a couple of fruit to eat in the field, and made sure to get his chores done far ahead of schedule. After that, he grabbed several wooden stakes and set himself to the task of analyzing the ground beneath his feet. Unseen, his eye has been taking detailed measurements of all of the buildings in the Bastion, and he's been setting out the stakes to mark an outline of a new building. Anyone feel like approaching him?]

I know a couple people who make it a point to be polite and sweet in a confrontation.

The one I know says it's about nailing the other guy with a sense of cognitive dissonance in order to throw them off their game. A great way to land a cheap shot. I can see it working, anyway.

Any way of controlling a fight, yes. Psychology is half the fun of it, or so I'm told.

An overwhelming show of force does a lot to end a fight. Even moreso when it's properly directed.

I prefer the pleasure of seeing the look one someone's face when they realize I've got one hundred and sixteen lasers all locked on their testicles.

Just... My ship is linked to my brain. Back home, I could command every gun on that thing to fire on anything I painted with my targeting system.

I don't often have that experience. People usually just give me looks or attempt to correct me with opinions that don't make any sense.

People always think that their way is the right way, and anyone who thinks differently is wrong.

I'm no stranger to that. I try to keep an open mind, but... Well, I'm not gonna lie. I love when I prove someone else wrong and make them eat their words.

But hey, I'm not gonna fault you for not knowing what I meant. When's the last time you met someone who owned a gunship that could perforate anyone he looked at, with but a thought?

And besides. I bet you've seen plenty that gives you experience nobody else has.

You going to need anything built? My workshop will be up and running in a few days, and I'm always looking for projects to keep busy. If you need any of the conveniences of home, I can see about whipping something up.

Technology, anyway. Can't make animals or anything. Wrong workshop for that.

What would you charge for it? Not sexual favors, obviously.

Something small? Probably nothing. I need to put my equipment through it's paces, so I'm looking for a lot of stuff to build that'll probably go to waste otherwise.

Something larger, I'd probably need some shards, or some help getting the right materials for it.
