[ It'd taken about a day before Kuro was willing to part from his master-turned-mistress. When it seemed like nothing dramatic was going to swoop in and steal Rin away from him, he finally did what all cats had to do eventually. It was time to explore, so he's creeping mostly around the apartments and the Bastion overall. He's taken the time to mark some territory as well, just as a matter of principle.
If he sees anyone out and about, he'll wander over to investigate them. Maybe someone will have a snack for him. It never hurt to be an optimist. ]

He thoroughly rubs his head up against Bon's hand, a rumbling purr rising up in his chest. Yes, there, that was much better. When a cat was around, working on anything came second to whatever it wanted.
You should be keeping her out of trouble, too, you know. Rin needs a team for that kind of thing. ]

Speaking of Okumura, I wonder if you're from her world or mine. Was it a surprise for you too, when you saw she was a girl?

His response is all very dramatic, at least at first.
I thought she wasn't Rin for a minute, but Rin smells like Rin anyway. She's cozier to sleep on like this. ]

I thought so. She looks different, but she still acts a lot like him.
[Not exactly like the Rin he knows, but close enough that it's obvious they're the same person.]
I wonder if you would be a girl too, in that world. Though I suppose it doesn't matter much, boy cats and girl cats are mostly the same anyway.

But Bon's second comment is just plain offensive. His tails lash back and forth as he gives him a particularly betrayed look.
We're more different than you humans are! I have my pride as a man! ]

After a moment, he relents. And that means Bon now has Kuro climbing on him to make himself comfortable.
I guess it's not your fault you don't understand these things. ]

Yeah, sorry about that, but he's settling right on Bon's head. The hair was doomed from the start. ]

Also yeah he's going to start working again despite Kuro being right there. But he's just cleaning his gun, it's not too exciting.]

Well, mostly content. Kuro finds himself unable to resist patting at stray locks of hair while he's up there. ]
