Who: Colin Starfury, Anyone Else
Open: Open
When: Day 113, Late "Morning"
Where: Arriving from the Skyway
What: Someone new arrives at the Bastion
Format: Action
Warnings: None
[Well, here's something to behold. It looks as though someone's come back from the skyway. Only, this isn't an established resident of the Bastion. Someone new has been added!
Colin's trudging past the onsen with heavy footsteps, he seems to have been traveling for a while. But he's got a wide grin on his face. Oh, and he's got a holstered pistol and a bulky-looking pack hanging on his belt, if that might make anyone wary.
Once he's sure that the ground is solid and not going to behave weirdly, Colin stops in his tracks and starts looking around, taking in his surroundings. He also raises his hand to drum his fingers on his left wrist. Anyone feel like approaching the new guy?]

There's food.
There's... um...
[And that's about the limit of Crona's ability to deal with newcomers.
The meister goes silent, shifting weight from one foot to the other for a few moments before hands are raised protectively over Crona's face.]
I... I don't know how to deal with newcomers. You're a stranger, I don't know what to say. It's hard, you know? Talking to people? I don't know where you're from or what you already know or what you need.

[He gives her a beaming smile, wider than before.]
You're talking to me, you'e trying to be helpful, you're doing fine.
You wanna get to know me, feel free to ask any questions you want. I'll be happy to answer anything.
[He lowers his voice and cups his hand around his mouth in an over-done display of secrecy]
Heck, since I'm probably not getting home any time soon, I'll even tell you the classified stuff!

[He looks around curiously, obviously not having gotten the lay of the land, yet.]

So, how can I put you more at ease?

[You're not the first person like this he's befriended, Crona. In fact, he's rather interested in your story now.]

Maybe, maybe this is just how I am. Maybe I don't want you to alleviate anything. You don't know anything about me.

[You're reminding him of his wife, Crona.]
You'll notice I haven't said anything about demanding to know about you, or insisting I do anything. All I'm doing is offering.
Still, you're acting a little uncomfortable, and I think it'd be rude to not make the offer just the same. If you don't want that, you don't have to take me up on it at all. I won't push you.
Thank you for showing me around, by the way.

Ah... that's not how to make a good first impression, is it. I messed up...

[Have another reassuring smile]
You're under stress, I'm sure. I won't hold it against you.
Like I said, the offer's out there if you want it. And if you don't, you can tell me to go jump off the edge over there.
[He pauses a second, and then snickers quietly]
I won't do that, but really, it's the thought that counts.

I thought you seemed like a nice person, but it's good to have some confirmation.
no subject
I don't think you're right.
no subject
I don't see any reason to say otherwise, though.
Do you not think you're a good person?

Do you think you're not a good person?
Not what anyone else thinks, just what you think.

[He smiles a little sadly]
Also, I'm a little worried that you might have been hurt in the past. I'd rather avoid hurting you again, if that's the case, and if I know, I can take steps to prevent it.

[He nods, that's an acceptable answer to him.]
I'm still curious about your morality, but I won't push the matter.

But I'd rather be honest with myself and take what I can get.

I've never met a greedy person who was a good person.
