[...in light of that information, Zuko, she might stop petting/rubbing Kizuna after a bit. Emphasize the course by closing her eyes, even. ...because she totally expects little dragon to protest.]

[Yes, her expectation is accurate.

Kizuna waits for a moment to see if petting will resume. Then she chirps at Ikuri. Then she moves over to Ikuri's hand to try shoving her head under it.]

[my my. you are a spoiled child, aren't you.]

[...pettings will resume. with Ikuri making just this face at tiny dragon, no less.]

Uh. If you want to stop, though, you can.

[Just because her mom spoils her doesn't mean everyone else has to.

They just... tend to anyway.]

[oh of course not, she's enjoying this.]

[continuin' on~ and perhaps a little more enthusiastically, now.]

[The enthusiasm seems to encourage Kizuna into a more playful mode. She flops onto her side to free up her legs and gives Ikuri's hand a little headbutt.]

[And she's just all the brighter for it. Do you want stomach rubs, little one? That's how it looks to her. She can absolutely do that.]

[Not quite a giggle, but a little happy sound escapes Ikuri as her hand moves to gently stroke the dragon's belly.]

[That wasn't entirely what Kizuna had in mind but she takes a few moments to appreciate the belly rub before batting at Ikuri's hand, grabbing for fingers.]

[...My fingers?]

[What are you asking for?]

[She has caught you! She is a fierce and successful predator!

...who doesn't actually know how to hunt at all but humor her okay. Kizuna gives one of those fingers a gentle nip and then releases them. Let's play again? You can make your hand harder to catch, she can handle it.]
