Day 323 (Open)

Who: Colin, anyone interested in what he's doing.
Open: Like a convenience store.
When: Day 323, all morning. (BACKDATED)
Where: Several key locations around the Bastion.
What: Setting up surveillance systems
Format: Action to start, but anything's good.
Warnings: A short-tempered Colin.

[Just the other day he had been speaking with Nathan about the thefts that had been taking place. They'd agreed that some sort of surveillance system would be necessary in order to better defend against the thief.]

[Then the party came back, minus two souls, and Colin's mind went straight into defense mode. Cameras were purchased, sites were chosen, and plans were put in motion.]

[This morning Colin is moving from place to place, setting up cameras and wires as appropriate. Some of the cameras are huge, blatant affairs that can't help but be noticed. Others are tiny, designed to be hidden.]

[He's stopping by most of the buildings in the Bastion to set up at least one camera. If anyone has an opinion on big brother, now's your time to express yourself.]

[Ibuki accepts the tools and sets about to work. She has a good memory, so what Colin taught her certainly stuck well enough that she's doing a pretty good job]

Ahaha... yeah, the Bastion kinda seems split on what everybody thinks about you.

... though I guess that's just how things are with people in general.

[He smiles at her.]

Only a little different from normal, really. I just wish people would realize that I'm not doing this because I want to make peoples' lives harder.

[He sighs as he works.]

I never really knew Crona-chan and Ragnarok-chan... never had the chance to talk with them or anything, I guess?

... What were they like?

Broken. They were broken.

[It's a simple answer, one that didn't require a moment of thought.]

Crona's mother was abusive. Mentally, physically, and spiritually. Possibly the father as well, but the behavior was definitely indicative of the mother. It was hidden moderately well, but I've got experience with it.

Ragnarok wasn't well-adjusted. I doubt anyone ever even treated him like a person, let alone tried to befriend him.

They could have been good people, but they had a lot of healing to do first.

[Ibuki couldn't help but freeze up a bit, stopping her work for a bit]

[she could kind of relate to that. Her parents were abusive in their own way, mainly through complete and utter negligence.]

Yeah, Ibuki totally does!

[And she'll carefully set down what she was working with to go give and receive a hug]

[Colin turns and pulls her into a tight hug as she comes over.]

Some people really suck. It's our job not to suck.

I like to think I do that pretty well, most of the time.

[She pulls out her little datapad thing and sets it to start blaring out one of her songs]
