Day 309 [Open]
Who: Anya, Ibuki, Patchouli, and anyone else!
Open: Open! Mostly.
When: Day 309
Where: All over the Bastion
What: SNOW!
Format: I'll match
Warnings: It's Anya.
[For Ibuki and Patchouli]
[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.
She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]
[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.
At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.
So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]
((OOC: And feel free to just use this post for mingling!]

[Rather than answer Myrrh's question, Ikuri lowers her arms, setting you down on her own body. Then, a bit awkwardly from her prone position-]
[nods toward the shore.]
no subject
[It doesn't seem right to march across her like that, so it takes Myrrh a moment to move, but she glances over her shoulder to the shore, and nods back. Her wings flare and flutter, helping lift her enough that she may step a little more lightly against Ikuri.
Myrrh pushes one foot off against Ikuri's leg (it would hurt more, she thinks, to do so against her stomach), and with a flap of her wings she shakily takes to the air.
It takes a few hard wingbeats for her to stop veering up and sideways and down again after such a poor start, but she stabilizes a few feet in the air. Once she has, she lowers herself, slowly, and reaches down to Ikuri. If she takes her hands, she could help her up; Myrrh is steadier in the air, and her wings are stronger than her limbs.]
[/2] FINALLY SELF
[And she watches dragonchild struggle in the air, hoping silently that she's not about to fall again...but, it seems, fortune wins out and she manages to keep her flight. That's good too.]
[The offer for help, though...that leaves her uncertain. Is it proper to accept? Would she be incurring insult against this being with refusal? ...For that matter, as a fighter, should she not seek to use her own means, rather than relying on another?]
no subject
[Rather than attempt it right away, Ikuri chooses to sit here, perhaps to get her bearings.]
no subject
Myrrh keeps her hands held out for her.] Um... It's easier if you have something to balance against, isn't it? I can stay steady...
[/?]
I will harm first before I let harm you.
[That probably came out sounding awkward as poo, but at this stage of the game Ikuri might only be residually aware of it.]
...
Mean...no insult. Mean no insult. Fighter, should try first...
no subject
[Then she decides to change approach. Turning about so she's on her belly...wow that sure is cold ice pressing against it...she places her palms flat on said ice and attempts to push herself up.]
[BUT UNFORTUNATELY-]
[3/3]
[and pushes clear through the ice, breaking it at once and thrusting half of each arm into the depths of frigid water.]
[You'd think she'd be inclined to pull those arms right away - but here she is instead with gaping mouth and wide eyes, apparently stunned.]
1/2
Wait—! [And it's too late, and she plunges through.
Myrrh jolts forward, stops—she might not be strong enough to lift her from the heavy water, and if she plunges under too she's done for; she can't do anything—not like this.]
2/3 i lied
She plunges one clawed foot through the ice, and the chill spikes through her whole body, following the pathways of her cold-blooded veins.
Too sharp for grabbing, her claws stay wide, but Ikuri fits into her shivering, scaled sort-of-palm when Myrrh scoops her into its center and lifts her out of the water with a few hard wing beats.]
GOOD TO GO
A-are you—are you all right?!
BEAUTIFUL AND I LIKE
[Her eyes seem to flicker between varying degrees of closed and open; quite frankly, her whole expression is probably an unsettling sight. She did not like that at all.]
GOOD I'M GLAD
Myrrh shakes the other girl's shoulder, desperate. Her voice quavers.] Please—please!
[The spectacle of her transformation always catches attention. She calls out in no particular direction, hoping someone watching can do something, but she knows so little about cleric staves and the extent of their reach.] A—a healer—please, a healer—!
no subject
[But in the time that passes while Myrrh's calling for help, she-- seems to reassert control over her body. Slowly, she manages to turn herself...in the process, more water spills from her mouth and into the snow; it doesn't seem to occur to her to simply spit out...and she plants her palms against that snowy ground: an abrupt move, and one that causes unease at first, especially considering the events of moments ago...but unlike the ice, that snow has all the earth underneath to support it; there was no second rupture, no unpleasant feelings.]
[Well. No additional unpleasant feelings. She is suddenly very very cold: much more so than she'd been during the snowball fight. It's not something she likes.]
[But though she seems to have the strength to keep holding her body up, head bowed and facing the snow, she...doesn't seem to be breathing all that much, either. She most certainly is breathing, but they're oddly rhythmic and short breathes.]
[While a healer may not be unwelcome, it may not be necessary either, Myrrh. Perhaps this one's okay.]
no subject
Please— [She swallows. No healer approaches, but Myrrh can't leave her alone.] Can...can you stand?
no subject
[All appearances say she is absolutely alive, but simply in an unhappy state of shock. One can only guess she's never been assaulted by that much cold before.]
no subject
I—I'm sorry. [It's Myrrh's fault the girl was on the ice to begin with, and now she's hurt for it.]
no subject
[Fortunately, she has enough of her wits about her to be able to turn her head toward Myrrh, at least. Some awareness has since returned to Ikuri's eyes.]
...W...w-warm....warm...
['I need warmth. That'll make this go away.'
...the robe isn't unappreciated, but it also isn't enough.]
no subject
Myrrh reaches for Ikuri's hands, gentle, not quite taking them—she won't just grab at the girl, but she hovers her hands near so Ikuri can take hers without much effort.] Here, come with me...
no subject
[And she'll gladly follow wherever Myrrh leads her. (...Momentum seems to help, meanwhile; there's some initial difficulty, but once she gets moving Ikuri does appear to improve slightly.)]
