[For Ibuki and Patchouli]
[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.

She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]


[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.

At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.

So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]

[Unlike most people, Bon isn't out playing in the snow.

No, he is out by the lake, testing the ice to see if it is firm enough to hld weight. Once he is satisfied that yes, this is safe and he won't go through, Bon will work on clearing some of the snow off of the ice. And once that is done, he's going to go sliding across the ice, because even without ice skates he can keep his balance pretty well on the slippery surface.

Oh look Bon is having fun this is a rare sight. Come ice skating with him.]

[And Ibuki throws a snowball at- No, Ibuki's too nice to do that to somebody ice skating]

Oooh, why didn't Ibuki think of that? Alright, let's have an ice skating race, Bonbon-chan!

[And she goes out onto the frozen lake. She has pretty good balance herself, fortunately, so she has no trouble staying upright]

Alright, to the far end and back?

[Balance he can keep, but momentum and turning may be difficult. The ice is slippery, and without the blades of an ice skate it may take some flailing to stay on track.]

Yeah, yeah, let's do it!

[She'll probably have a bit of difficulty herself, but hey, this'll be fun!]

You do the countdown, Bonbon-chan! Ibuki will probably mess it all up!

[A countdown he can do, but first he slides over near Ibuki, so they can start at about the same point.]

Okay, we go in three...two...oneGO!

[And he pushes off and goes as soon as that last bit comes out of his mouth.]

[And with that whoop starts off after Bon. He managed to get a bit of a head-start, but Ibuki's not going to be so easily defeated...!]

[Bon is steady, but probably slower because he needs to keep his balance more. So if Ibuki can go faster, she can easily pass him.]

[Ibuki's going for it, she's moving faster...! Though her balance might seem a little wobbly and uncertain... hopefully she won't fall down!]

[Damn your impressive balance, Bon. :T Not that Rin isn't going to try. She may wobble like a broken toy while attempting to slide not so gracefully across the ice after him, but at least she's there. It doesn't take long before she's on her tail, giving a huff after him.] How d'ya do that?! I can't even stay up for a minute!

Lots of practice, and a low center of gravity.

[See, him being stocky and always crouched low has its benefits!

He still looks a bit silly scooting over to where Rin is, though. While he can stay upright, that doesn't mean he is a graceful figure skater.]

You've seen how high into the mountains the temple is. It wasn't uncommon to have snow as late as May or even early June.

[He holds out a hand to her. He can help her stay upright, at least.]

[Still more graceful than her being on her ass. Her tail twitches in annoyance, though it's hardly directed at him and more at the fact that her butt is now cold and will remain so until they go inside. The offered hand is taken, though, and she's back on her feet again.] I don't think it's ever been cold enough in True Cross to have things freeze over like this...

Yeah, it felt like it was warmer there.

[Of course that is so long ago for Bon, it's sometimes hard for him to remember. Which is a troubling thought on its own, he is already forgetting the faces of some of his classmates who he didn't talk to a lot.]

C'mon, follow me.

[He is going to try moving backwards, so that he is pulling Rin along and keeping her upright.]

[It really has been a long time, hasn't it? Sometimes Rin even forgets that it's been so many months since they even saw True Cross.

Or, rather, a True Cross that wasn't broken.]

Ah--! O-okay, okay!

[She's still shaky on her feet and not exactly balanced, but she keeps a hold of Bon's hands tightly as he pulls her along.]
