[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.

She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]


[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.

At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.

So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]

[And unfortunately, this causes her to miss most of what you did. By the time she resumes attention, the snowball's already mostly formed.]

[...her head bows, and she shakes it slowly. Shooter now actually looks kind of downcast.]

[wow, a fighter-type like this getting discouraged over such a trivial task - who'd have thought, huh?]

[It's not quite put together as well as Ibuki's, but at least it won't fall from flight halfway. It's passable!]

[She abruptly looks up from the completed snowball to look at you, face very much like this. Master - did I succeed??]

[OVERCOME WITH EMOTION for a surge in time - she leaps up, fists raised and in the air, bouncing on the balls of her feet.]

[though of course the potentially amusing part might be that she's still not smiling.]


[Still running on the remnants of that surge, she picks it up and hurls it with all her might at a random target!]

[--it misses! Though that...is actually an event of fortune, because the thing was zooming through the air with enough speed that if it had hit someone, it could have hurt them - especially if the ball was solid.]

[Uncertainties stab from several directions and she's left not knowing what to feel. She - she did this right, didn't she? Nothing wrong?]

W-whoa. You don't wanna throw that hard! You might actually hurt somebody!

Throw it more like this! Watch! So you don't knock off somebody's head!

[And she throws a snowball to demonstrate]

[...That's right. The other participants didn't seem to be aiming for conquest; they sometimes threw with strength, but it stood to reason that many didn't have her own. Shooter needed to temper herself to enjoy this game - to ensure no harm was caused.]

[...still isn't the same, though. Part of her would rather have real combat, not this...mock-game.]

[But matters are as they are.]

[-It's sloppy due to her hurrying, but she recognizes the flub and has already abandoned it in favor of forming another, using the lessons and care that made the first success. This one's much better.]

[She pats around the sphere, tightening it. Gets up...]

[...and lazily lobs it at Ibuki, letting virtually all the strength slip from the throw. Thankfully, it's a success: the impact is minor and painless.]
