[Sometime after lunch, Anya takes off to look for two of her best lady friends with a spellbook under her arm and some key ingredients in her pockets.

She's quite cheerful about it, a little oblivious to whatever else might have been going on lately. Cheerful, and insistent. She will track you down.]


[Open to All]
[Later in the day, Bastionites may be surprised to look up and notice that... it's snowing. Not only that, but the temperature has dropped.

At least in the more southerly parts of the Bastion. The farmlands might get a few sporadic flurries, but it isn't cold enough there to stick.

So if you've been missing snowmen or snowball fights or any of those activities that require winter to happen, now's your chance. It's probably not going to last very long.]

[Still, he sometimes randomly starts rolling, gives a flail, and then flops to lay still again.]

[She scooped up a handful of snow, held it aloft and let it fall right on his head]

[One bright red eye peers up at her as the snow tumbles into his face.]

[She nudges at him with her foot and then kneels beside him.] You okay? Not too cold? I've never seen a yellowblood freeze to death but you can see many interesting and new things in a lifetime.

[Yeah, he should probably be moved, but then he gives another delighted wiggle into the snow with something that's almost sort of a giggle.]

[She snorted and held out a hand for him. He could get up himself but it feels more normal to offer a hand]

Get up you idiot before we have to call you a blueblood from laying in the snow all day.

[Still, he raises a nearly freezing hand onto hers and hovers upwards. Gently, the layer of psionics washes over again to help heat things up.]

[She keeps his hand in hers and not just because the warmth of the psionics is really nice]

I don't make the rules mister I wanted to see if I could become a trollsicle. Want to go inside and get something warm in you or see if you can become one with the snow?

[He floats up properly, snow still clinging and falling from his clothing. He's starting to shake, although he doesn't really notice it.]

[She notice his shaking and brushes off the snow quickly] Psii--you're freezing! And I can't exactly warm you up very easily.

[She pulls his hands to her cheeks to check just how cool he is]

[But he's about as cold as any asshole who's lain in snow for five minutes without any care for proper clothing. Nothing a bit of warmth won't cure... Probably.]

Psii I swear... [She kisses his cold palm and shakes his head] You have to care of your dumb body okay. Come on, let's go inside.

[He shall be dragged if he does not follow. You could have played in the snow more if you were responsible Psii. You brought this upon yourself.]

Snow angeeeeeels! [WHUMP; she's at least got the good sense to lie on her back instead of trying to make a snow angel with her face in the snow.

She's out here wearing shorts so she's got no place to chastise him about getting sick this time, anyway.]

[His only answer is to give her a thumbs up, at least initially. After a minute or so, however, there's those familiar words.]

Right?! Real snow! [She pauses her angel-making limb-pumping to take a fistful of snow powder and toss it over their heads like celebratory confetti.]

It's actually been a while since I even thought about seasons and how we don't have them here... I didn't realize how much I missed how much fun snow is!

[And you know what? It's a fuckton better than being stuck in fucking seawater. He starts to wiggle into a decent pile of snow, making weird rasping but happy chirp noises.]

Centuries, huh? [She only dwells on this long enough to think that wow, this is her new normal—part of her thinks her response should be what but instead, it's closer to huh, wouldn't've guessed! This is as normal as the giant dragon who is one of her best friends and the fact that the seasons are unchanging because they don't exist and that she breathes air. That unsettles her more than centuries.

...Fixating on this while there's snow to be played in is doing her no favors. She tosses another fistful of it above them.] It's only been since last winter for me, but it's still exciting! Hey! [Abruptly, she sits up.] So it's been forever since you've built a snowman, right?!

[Snowman, huh? He finally pushes himself up with a buzz of psionics.]

What're we supposed to use for the nose if we use carrots for the horns? [As she says this, she picks herself up and offers a hand to help Psii up—not that he particularly needs it, but y'know, instinct.]

[He still takes it, floating up as she pulls.]

[There's a thumbs up, and then he's floating already over to the kitchen.]

[They have to have fucking carrots over there. It's a goddamn kitchen.]

[Aoi, meanwhile, isn't entirely sure where to begin because what should the nose be, anyway. It takes a little closer to seven than five, but when she returns to their designated meeting place, she pulls a fistful of buttons from the lost and found out of her pocket.]

Maybe we can use 'em for the eyes, too.
