One of the benefits of being a Strain with the powers Anna has is that she knows things. Most of the time she knew where people were around her, what they were thinking. Sometimes it was about the world.

Like that she had been here long enough, combined with her time in Vatheon, that it should be December 8th again.

Well, for her at least. And it was a little after that, really, but the point was that Anna woke knowing that she wasn't 11 anymore. There was the core hunt, though, and talk of problems and Ura, and so it didn't really come to mind that maybe she could do anything until she spotted the donut trees again.

... Tatara had done something like this once, hadn't he?

Anyone near the donut trees and bushes will find Anna trying to collect a few into a basket. She is, however, a small child, and this isn't going to work very well. Mikoto the larvesta is sort of helping - his wagon is now occupied by a basket, so he's halfway up a tree and... eating leaves.

Or you can miss Anna collecting donuts, and find her having collected them, and sorting them onto plates in the kitchen. Donut breakfast. For as many people as she can. Mikoto is happily chewing through one that looks like Anna grabbed it a little too hard, buzzing lazily.

Ryu is wandering near the trees, and he sees Anna trying to get higher. Huh... he wanders closer.

"Do you want a boost?"

"Please?" She's small, it doesn't work for picking trees!

He walks over and grabs her around the waist gently, hoisting her up.

Perfect. And hey, it wasn't even by the back of her dress.

Anna picks the newly in reach donuts. "My hands are full now."

Aaand back down! He grins at her. "I can lift you up again if you want to get more."

"Okay." Time to put those in the basket and stand before him again.

And up she goes!

"What are you planning on doing with all of these? If you eat all of these at once you'll get a tummyache."

"They're for everyone's breakfast. Or to go with it!" She's not that silly, honest! She probably couldn't eat more than three of them on her own anyway.

"Oh, huh. That's really nice of you to do!" He smiles at her gently. "Do you need help carrying them inside the Distillery? I don't know if your wagon will get through the door."

"... It might spill if I try." Please help?

Ah! Another thought. "You could get the plates, too, if they are too high up." Otherwise she would climb on counters.

"Sure. I'm... not all that big, but I should be able to help."

The perils of being under five and a half feet.

"... Still bigger than me."

Combined with the perils of being just four foot and a half, they shall be the short people!

"True. And if I put you on my shoulders, we'll be the biggest person!"

Other than probably AZ. And Paarthurnax.

"We could reach the really high shelves then!"

... but the dragon doesn't go into the kitchen, so he doesn't quite count for this.

"Exactly!"

Well a dragon does, but not that dragon. Oh well.

And get into everything!

Wait that might not be a good thing.

So they get to the kitchen, and Anna gets her basket on the table.

"... A big plate, maybe?"

Ryu looks through the cabinets until he finds a big plate. It looks like it's used for serving things.

"Will this work?"

"It looks good. Do we need to become Tall Person in order to get it?"

Anna is ready to be tall again!

"I think so."

... He can probably reach it on his own, but he picks her up carefully and puts her on his shoulders.

And now they are Tall Person!

Anna carefully grabs the plate because large plates are heavier than normal plates.

Okay now what. Does she pass it to Ryu, or do they go to the table?

Ryu wraps an arm around her legs and reaches up with the other arm. Adventurers are good at carrying heavy things!

Perfect. Anna might be stronger than one would expect for a little doll-like girl, but..

Platters are heavy. Here you go, Ryu.

To the table!

He ducks down so she can hop off if she wants, and then brings it over to the table.

"How should we arrange them?" He knows people like to make these things look pretty sometimes.

Anna hops off, then goes and climbs on a chair to better see the platter.

This is a good point. How best to arrange them...

"Like in a pyramid? We can put the powdery ones on the bottom."

"Sure. ... I don't usually spend a lot of time looking at food before I eat it, so I don't know what looks best."

To be fair most people don't get to see what the food looks like before Ryu eats it.
