[Day 230] We're still not dead! Time to get drunk until we are

So, in the morning, Georges makes sure to stop anyone before they can go out onto the Skyway or get a bite to eat, or basically attempt to carry on with their lives like normal. With the most recent near death experience, he seems to be aiming to be more insistently friendly, apparently.

"Hey there! I got everyone together for some drinks, well, last time since we all needed one after that and I figured why not do it again? Come over to the Distillery later today, and I'll have some things whipped up! Oh- and by the way. That Ura fella, Zulf, he wanted folks to meet up and try and figure a few things out, get a bit more organization 'round here I suppose. If you could pass this around, that'd be great!"

And, sure enough, at around noon-ish Georges has once again set up some things. There are tables just outside the distillery, the largest he could manage (which is just a couple pressed up against one another) done up specifically for anyone who wants to sit around and be responsible.

For those who don't care about or don't trust themselves with responsibility, there's a couple smaller tables scattered about both inside and outside. As usual, Georges is behind the bar with a row of bottles on display. Ask him about them, chat with one another, or just focus on getting utterly and completely smashed, do as you like.

Maybe if you're chatty enough, you might even get roped into something.

[After all that serious discussion's done with, Aoi does what she's best at: eating too much food. She isn't interested in the liquor, but she does help herself to probably too many snacks as she mingles. As usual, she grins and waves at everyone who passes by her, social butterfly that she is. This would be a good opportunity to take her up on that offer for abilities she made earlier...]

[Does Zuko look like she was about to leave the party prematurely? Possibly. She really just came for the serious discussion and maybe a cookie. But when Aoi waves at her she thinks maybe she should stop and say hi?]

Oh. Hey.

[How do you have casual conversations.]

[amphibian]

Hi, Zuko! Hey, have you tried the scones yet? [After a moment of searching, she plucks one from the table beside her and holds it out. Casual conversation is an art form and Aoi has mastered it.] They've got cinnamon in 'em so they're real tasty!

[Please teach her this art form.

Zuko accepts the scone and looks at it before taking a bite. She would have just called this a pastry because what are scones??]

...it's not bad. Rin's work, I'm betting.

Yeah! She's been in and out of the kitchen since we started here. It's real nice that she's always cooking for everyone. She's super good at it so I'm really glad! 'specially since I can really only cook a little...

Same. I can't even make rice without burning it.

[amphibian]

Really?! Even I'm not that bad! Or...there was that time I forgot about the rice in the cooker... Ah, but as long as I remember, I can at least make fried rice! Zuko, we've gotta teach you how to cook!

Well- I've almost always had people cooking for me.

[The palace chefs, the ship's cook, her uncle, and now Rin.]

Weeeeeell... I guess it's pretty unusual? But it's fine! If I can make a meal, anyone can, so it's never too late to learn!

I guess knowing how to make a few simple things would be a good idea.

[amphibian]

Of course! You can't have someone cooking everything for you all the time, y'know? So tonight we're gonna cook dinner together! [She pounds her fist into her opposite hand in that way that she does when a decision has been made. It's not a question; sorry Zuko.]

What?

[Aoi did you just. invite yourself over?? Or is she supposed to go to your place? Either way what.]

[amphibian]

Just something easy like fried rice, y'know? If we make it together then you'll know how to do it yourself, so the next time you need to make yourself food, you can make fried rice! There's definitely everything we need in the kitchen part of the distillery, and Rin and Mirielle won't mind if we use it!

[She has a PLAN!!!]

Oh. You want to do it there.

[Somehow that's less...... alarming?]

Yeah, they probably won't mind.

Well, yeah. It's all stocked full of ingredients and there's more than enough room for two chefs so it'd be the best place, don'tcha think? So we're definitely decided, then!

[Aoi seems to decide on things a lot without waiting for input. Zuko isn't sure what to make of that.]

Do you do this with everyone?

[amphibian]

Huh? Do what, cook?

[daughterofursa]

Not cook.

[How to put this?]

I mean decide you're going to do things together.

[amphibian]

Oh! If you don't want to then it's fine, you don't need to! I just get too excited, so I rope my friends into things sometimes...

I don't mind.

I guess I was just wondering if that's normal for... [Wait, yeah, Aoi definitely just said that word.] ...friends?

[amphibian]

[That...might be the saddest question she's ever heard—so Aoi beams, bright as anything.]

I mean, I guess I get too excited about it sometimes, but yeah! So, like, if there's stuff you wanna do, you can totally let me know, too, y'know?

I'll leave that to you. I usually spend my free time training.

[So unless you want to train, Zuko's got nothing. What are hobbies.]

[amphibian]

In that case, the two of us'll have to work out together sometime, too!

The swim team! The only thing is, it's hard to advertise something to a lot of people at once, y'know? And it's not easy to coordinate practices and stuff without, um...working clocks...
