What: a few conversations need to happen, so here they are! Some are plot-important, some are not, but all are welcome to participate

Each thread is going to be started with whatever NPC is participating in it. Please do not make new threads, but instead comment to the NPC threads.

Additionally, each conversation will occur once, so instead of several individual conversations there should be one conversation per thread with several participants. Feel free to have your character participate wherever you like, but we ask that each character participate in one conversation only.

Also, some of the NPC threads will have a character limit to them, which will be clearly stated in the header of that thread. Once that limit has been reached, those particular threads will be closed to those who have already tagged in.

[Jane takes a moment to think about that. Someone going out to the Skyway at night? It's already not the safest of places, and she's not sure if it's affected by day and night, but it just...it doesn't seem smart. And it's suspicious. Why go out there at such a time, when no one is likely to see you? Only someone with something to hide would do that.]

Well...there's a lot worse things you could be doing besides staying up late. I certainly won't tell on you, but I think it might be important if we shared that sort of information. Others sneaking off at night, I mean.

[Anna nods in agreement.]

Um...I dunno who they were though. It's always so dark, it's hard to tell.

You don't think they're doing something bad, do you?

That's hard to say. We couldn't know who they were or the nature of what they're up to unless we investigate.

[But a little girl isn't the best investigation companion. Jane wouldn't want anyone getting hurt out there...if they're going to find out anything, they'll need others who can fight if need be to help. But who?]

How about you and I look for some more folks to help us out? I think this is something that definitely needs to be looked into.

[Anna nods in agreement, but she seems hesitant.]

But what if the person we ask is the person who's going out at night, and they're a bad person?

We'd just have to take that chance. I don't know if there's a way to determine whether or not we'll end up asking the night-person by coincidence, but if they truly are bad, then it's better to work in a group than it is to work alone.

[It still sounds risky, and it's way more than Anna has ever done, but eventually she does see the point to it.]

Okay.

...what about, um...oh! Someone with glasses, or scars on their face? The person I saw, they didn't have either of those.

[Though it's possible that they just took off said glasses maybe.]

[Ahah! That's a lead if Jane ever heard one, general though it is.]

Then we'll work on talking with folks with scars and glasses! Hoo, I'm glad I've got one of those. [She adjusts said glasses, they're slipping down her nose a bit.] Do you happen to know of anyone like that? I must admit, I'm still trying to meet everyone in the Bastion, so I'm not sure who we could go to first.

[Well, why not start with Zuko who just so happens to be walking past not far from where they're talking. Normally she would have noticed them, but she seems distracted by a... discussion? with her baby dragon.]

I know they look good, but I just don't think you can eat donuts.

[A perfect choice! Anna will go up to Zuko and tap on her arm to get her attention.]

Um...

[Jane will follow behind! Wow, what a perfect choice indeed. She wonders idly if the baby dragon is one of those Pokemon she's seen everywhere, but given the circumstances, Jane won't ask. There's too much afoot!]

Excuse us, miss?

Huh?

[Zuko has of course seen Anna around and possibly spotted Jane somewhere, but to the baby dragon they are New People. Kizuna cautiously crawls down Zuko's arm to approach Anna. She's kind of smallish for a human.]

Uh, what is it?

[Oh noooo a cute dragon, Anna can't help but hold her hand out for it to smell.

Sorry Jane, Anna got distracted, you'll have to explain things.]

[That's alright, Jane couldn't blame her anyway.]

This young lady here has seen someone going off to the Skyway in the middle of the night. She just told me, and I think it sounds worrying enough to investigate, but we can't do it ourselves. Would you be willing to help, Miss...?

[Even if it does turn out fine, it's better to have backup than go in alone.]

[Hello small human, do you give pettings?]

It's Zuko.

[She frowns in thought.]

That is a little strange. You think they're up to something?

[Small human does indeed give pettings! But she will answer Zuko's question while petting.]

I dunno, they just go out there, and then they come back later.

Maybe they're fighting monsters? But I dunno why they would do that at night.

I don't even know if night exists on the Skyway, but if it does, then the monsters lurking out there are probably not nearly as friendly as they are during the day.

[Friendly used in a sarcastic way, of course.]

Even if this person isn't up to something, it's possible that they're risking their life in a big way, and at the very least, they should be stopped for their own well being. And even then - who would risk themselves like that unless they were up to something?

I could think of a few idiots...
