Day 285 [open]
Who: Azula & anyone
Open: Open
When: Day 285
Where: Northern Bastion
What: Azula arrives in Bastion.
Format: bracket-action but happy to match
Warnings: n/a for now.
[Azula was angry. Whether or she actually believed that her world had been destroyed, blah blah blah was a different question entirely. It all sounded crazy (this whole world sounded crazy - maybe it was all just one giant hallucination and that's a terrifying thought), but more importantly she had better things to do. If this was some kind of spirit-world shenanigan, she wanted no part in it. She had been in the middle of something important, damn it.
Which is why, naturally, she gets herself quickly and fairly easily from the Skyway to Bastion. If anyone was capable of figuring it out, it was her. And when she's on a mission to get to the bottom of something, that drive can move mountains.
When she questions the person who told her about this "calamity" she doesn't get answers she wants and sets a tree on fire in retribution, but the action is...oddly taxing? And for the first time in her career she actually feels like it's difficult to firebend which angers her more, RIP patches of grass.
Since all of that is clearly getting her nowhere she proceeds to go question anyone who is around in the most tactful and personable way possible:]
You there! Tell me what is going on here immediately.

[Wow, Rin.]

Not that she's going to say anything. Zuko already said once her sister was not some one she wanted to meet up with again, even here. There's no way Rin would rat her out just because some one of familial relation is being pissy with her.
... buuuuuut she is being pissy with her. And that sure seemed like a challenge. Rin straightened at that, rising back up while moving in to a slightly more defensive stance.]
You wanna dance, princess?
no subject
[for all that rin moves into a defensive stance, Azula goes offensive. She's not entirely clear on how her powers have been limited but she can fight even without the bending and she meant what she said about those pokemon (and rin) looking like easy pickings.]
no subject
Her, on the other hand? She might look like easy pickings right now, but that's not going to last.
Her hand reached for the sword she carried on her back, pulling the blade out. But it wasn't just the blade that came with it - bright blue flames followed, surrounding the sword and appearing in various places around Rin, including the tip of her tail. Not only that but her fangs and pointed ears lengthened, giving her a much more inhuman appearance than she had at the start.]
C'mon then! Don't leave me waitin' on you!
no subject
Her first attempt is to try to bend those very flames into an attack. rin has probably seen bending before since zuko is here, each movement a mixture of martial arts and almost dance, which azula always executes with plenty of style.]
no subject
This was as good of a time as any to flex said control, just barely keeping her own power from jumping ship before narrowly dodging the oncoming attack.
Wow, okay, Zuko wasn't kidding about this one. Granted Rin only had to survive long enough for the Bastion to kick in it's failsafes, but she was beginning to wonder if she could even do that.]
no subject
Maybe you should have thought through your plan a little better.
no subject
[Yeah. She was shaken. That much was clear, but being shaken for her hardly meant backing down.
And she did know soon enough the Bastion would put an end to this if it didn't stop on it's own, but like hell she was going to let Azula in to that fact or run like a coward before it got to that point.]
I ain't done yet! You can't scare me away that easily!
[Gripping the sword with both hands, she took a swing in Azula's direction. Blue fire launched from the blade as she had no intention of going at her full-on with the weapon.]
no subject
Maybe she just didn't think enough of this girl to kill her. Waste of her time. Yeah that's totally it.]
Well I'm done with you, go play somewhere else.
no subject
Naturally Oshawott took offense to this and instantly charged forward, intending to squirt Azula right in the face. If you're not going to finish the fight he will!]
Oshawott, don't--!
no subject
I really don't think you want to do that.
no subject
But he does still activate it. Which means Rin is getting a nice splash back from the hand that she clamps over his mouth, leaving her a nice mess of wet and steam.
At least it wasn't holy water...]
... thanks, Oshawott.
Osha...
[He's sorry, Rin. Mostly.]
Whatever. Just get outta here if you're so damn eager to leave.
no subject
but no ok she'll probably start heading off. thanks for nothing bastion she totally could've taken them.]
Only because I have better things to do.
no subject
Whatever!
[Rin doesn't even care anymore just goooo]
